Traveling for business, I needed a hotel in the Grasse region. The Mandarina fit the bill perfectly.
Being a smaller hotel, the staff was very kind in receiving me, and was expecting me, greeting me by name when I arrived.
The breakfast--a great bargain--was excellent and highly recommended.
The room was comfortable, but I only gave it a 4 in comparison with a place like the Ritz or so, which at 5x the price, a bit more comfort would be expected.
Highly recommended, great for short or long stays, and a wonderful staff. Would definitely stay there again.

The ONLY issue to note about our stay is that the air conditioning in the room did not work properly and could have been stronger. Other than that, we were totally satisfied with our stay, especially the friendly front desk staff and the outstanding food service.
Restaurant food was excellent and service in restaurant was beyond reproach. Rooms were very comfortableand inviting. There was however, no walking to enjoy the property. The grounds were not well maintained.
An excellent B&B experience. The owners are very friendly and helpful. On our late arrival they found and booked a restaurant for us and then drove us there. It is a little difficult to find (GPS advisable and no sign on the house) but worth the effort. A fine view.

Hotel manager was super nice, spoke English and accomodated us before the check-in time, which was great because we had our 2 young children with us! Friendly, English speaking staff, gave great recommenations for restaurants. Parking can be a problem, but the hotel's location is excellent. Parking garage is available for a small fee, there is also street parking. Better to walk anyway, the city is so charming and you can find almost anything within a 15 minute stroll. Hotel itself is a little outdated, but it's clean and spacious with air conditioning, a big plus in the summer! Breakfast is available, but the bakery is 5 minutes away! Nothing fancy, but a good price, great location and helpful friendly staff.
The perfume industry in Grasse dates from the 16th century when local tanners used flower fragrances to scent their speciality soft leather gloves. The Musée International de la Parfumerie explains the extraction processes, and all the larger factories provide free tours. Grasse has a fascinating old quarter with several interesting museums. Place du Cours has lovely sea views. Visit in August for the Jasmine Festival.
