Water not hot enough for a shower
We didn't need much, just a clean, basic place to stay. It was clean enough, and quiet. But after the water ran for a LONG time it got barely lukewarm, and never hotter than that.

Stayed the night for Cornish Christmas in Grass Valley. Was clean, we only needed a place for the night. No real opinions for dining out. Was away from restaurants & shopping. My wife and I were there in Dec. if was 37 degrees in the morning. We had to wait a while for the pipes to worm up to get hot water. After that we had hot water. All in all wasn’t terrible, but the water thing was a little stressful.

Emergency visit to Grass Valley, Ca
Just what we needed for end of day restful night sleep after taking care of ill family member during the day, very clean, newly renovated rooms, quiet area, affordable rate per night, friendly staff. We only booked one night at a time due to uncertainly of duration of our stay in the area, we ended up with five night stay. Sadly, it was the last visit to Grass Valley area, family member we were taking care of passed on same week.

Hard to fall asleep.
There was no one at check out. I waited for about 10 minutes and no one showed up even though I rang the bell several times. The condition on the room was not good. The mattress was on top of a medal base and it was very noisy during the night. Every time I changed position it made a lot of noise. The bath towels were very thin and small. I also when I tried to take a shower, I had to run the water for a long time in order for it to be just warm enough. I don’t think I’ll stay there again

Overall a good place to stay
The stay was good. Small parking lot with some awkward spots. Overall it was a good experience with friendly staff. The room was a little dated it felt and the bed was not the quietest being on a metal fram like a hollow filing cabinet.

This is a $59 dollar motel charging $150. It was noisy and hot. There was mold and hair in the shower. I slept on top of the bedspread and used my own bedding. I would not have stayed here had there been another option.

Good beds. Lots of water pressure (too much actually need better shower head). Clearly the sink area wasn’t even wiped down and the carpet was kinda gross. Pool was nice. Super noisy neighbors but didn’t hear them once the door was shut.

I reserved for 3 people, we only had 2 towels. The hotel charged me an additional $35.00, we were out if there by 11:05am. Why would I have an additional charge beyond the amount already paid. The lady at ck in did not indicate an additional charge.

Thank you for your review we usually just make up the rooms with the number of beds and at any time a guest would like or need additional linens they can request them at any time.We also have a one time pet fee of 35 for all dogs

The room was spacious, very clean, and the property was very quiet. I just needed someplace to sleep while visiting family for Thanksgiving. Grass Valley isn't a resort town, so I wasn't expecting anything grand. Holiday Lodge checked all the boxes I needed for a good night's sleep.
