“Hope you like cigarette smoke.”

I stayed at this motel because I was running a marathon the next day and people were smoking in their rooms. I opened a window but the smoking area was outside my window. I complained, nothing was done. The smoke gave me a headache and my race was affected, next year I"ll just sleep in my car. thanks.

“Fine for the price with managed expectations”

My room had a comfortable bed, wifi, and a good, hot shower. What more do you need? Pack some earplugs and expect a few hiccoughs and you'll be fine. (Keycard system was totally down and the manager had to let people into their rooms. My first room smelled too heavily of smoke. The second one was better.)

East Grand Rapids is a fun and funky area. Very interesting.

“Won't be back.”

Poor maintenance, wore out mattresses, totally flat pillows, paid for four guests - got only two towels, minimal breakfast - not stocked at 8am.

Area recommendations

Hotel was located in a good area/neighborhood but was, itself, rundown!

“Too much wrong, even for a Super 8”

front desk agent nice, cheap, broken shower rod, bathroom barely big enough to turn around, ironing board and iron getting wet from shower spray in bathroom, carpet in room had at least three areas where gum or similar item was ground in and left, whole hotel smelled of stuffiness or smoke, despite being a nonsmoking property

“Not Impressed”

Walls are super thin. Can hear all types of foot-steps from the second floor. Doors are slamming, lights from parking lot are very bright, black out curtains really do not do the trick. Overall this hotel is NOT GREAT. The Clarion down the street is priced the same, and is much better. Would suggest that you do not stay here at this hotel.

“Bait & Swich”

This is a motel that attracts a lot of noisy guests on the weekend. Not a place to stay if you are looking for a quiet nights stay. Their large sign will flash a very low rate which is almost impossible to meet the requirements of.

“Cheap but good deal for the Money”

This is not the Ritz; that being said, I did not feel like this was a "horrible" experience. Just don't expect too much. The rooms were relatively quiet (you can hear your neighbors and especially other people's toilets flushing/showers running), but for a quick place to crash for the night, it fit the bill.

Area recommendations

The downtown nightlife scene is fun, and the area feels clean/safe. Founders is a MUST see!

“Good nights getaway”

This hotel was perfectly located for my purpose. my flight was the next morning and this hotel is only just over 2 miles to the airport and there are alot of places to eat around. I would stay here again anyday specially with such a helpful staff
