Nice Hotel close to DeVos Place

Posted 04-Mar-2015
Pros: It was clean and the staff was friendly and helpful.
Cons: The only problem I had was that I missed the entrance to the hotel. I drove past it and had to turn around because there wasn't an entrance sign.
I attended the Hope College Musical Showcase at DeVos Place, and this hotel was only about a half mile away. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Room was clean, food in the restaurant was very good.

Great hotel but awful neighbors

Posted 16-Feb-2015
Pros: Hotel staff were very nice, the Pearl Street Grill was amazing, and the hotel room was very clean!
Cons: Nothing
Location: Very nice location, you can easily walk downtown to get coffee or a drink. It took me 3 minutes to drive to the downtown market for sushi!
My room had the joining door to the room next door. They must have come back drunk because they were banging on the joined door, pushing it and trying to get in. It did wake me up but didn't concern me too much because I could hear they were just laughing. They stopped after a few minutes so I never called the front desk. Other than that, everything was great!

Dear Naomi, I am so pleased to hear that you enjoyed your stay with us! Next time, be sure to mention at check in that you would prefer a room that doesn't have an adjoining door and we would be happy to accommodate you, so you can be as comfortable as possible while you're here with us. Safe travels!

Just a short walk across the river

Stayed here to go to a concert downtown Grand Rapids. Convenient location and better price than anything else downtown. Comfortable beds. Standard check in and out. No issues during our stay.

Convenient Location

Posted 29-Jan-2015
Pros: Location is easy from the freeway and is rather close to hospitals.
Cons: Provide realistic rates. This is a nice, but dated hotel. For the price, my room was nothing special appointed with lesser brand hotel furnishings.
Location: Museum across the street, close to hospitals, near freeway.
There were a few issues quickly cleared up by the management. Nice and quiet with plenty of parking.

Not Again

Posted 27-Jan-2015
Pros: Walking distance to the venue we were going to that evening.
Cons: Most everything we experienced!
Location: It's downtown Grand Rapids, MI so lots of things near by. One reason we stayed here but won't be back.
Noisey outside and in, to small of a bed in a big room and I'm not handicapped! Adjoining room that on a Tuesday night stayed up well past 2:00 a.m. and so did we.

I am so sorry to hear that you were inconvenienced by both your room type and your noisy neighbors. We do employ a zero tolerance noise policy, so I am disappointed that this did not seem to be effective the evening of your stay. We do provide many different room types, so in the future I would certainly recommend one of our king location or king executive rooms! Safe travels!

Wonderful location downtown

Posted 25-Jan-2015
Pros: Walking distance to our concert.
Cons: We were placed on the third floor and this floor had laundry service not the "vending" area for ice. Nothing to complain about.
Location: Very close to restaurants, Van Andel Arena, additional items downtown Grand Rapids
First trip to Grand Rapids. I had just a little bit of difficult finding the place (only one turn around) but I was alone in the car. The location is awesome for what I needed. The hotel was within walking distance of everything! Would stay again.
