Center of City and easy access to nightlife

Posted 28-Jan-2015
Location: several restaurants and entertainment within walking distance.
Arrived early and found the hotel to be slightly well booked. The hotel upgraded my room for free and also gave me a river front room with no charge. The hotel is very large and well insulated as not to hear any hallway traffic or neighbors.

Short but sweet!

Posted 20-Jan-2015
While our visit to the hotel was a short one, we thoroughly enjoyed our visit to the Amway Grand! Most impressive was the way we were treated at "check-in/check-out" & by the valet attendants...we felt like royalty!!

Best in GR

Posted 19-Jan-2015
Beautiful hotel that blends historic charm with modern amenities. Our room was large and well-appointed, and the facilities in general were what you would expect from a 5-star in a large city. Great downtown location. The one knock - it was very noisy. It may have just been the youth hockey tournament in the area at the time of our stay, but the hallway seemed to be a congregating area until about 1 am.

Nice GR Downtown location.

Posted 19-Jan-2015
Pros: Luxury is the correct term for this facility
Cons: We had dirty washcloths on the sink upon check in. Interior rooms in the old section have no view except the roof. Ask for street site rooms
Location: Great eating and drinks in every direction.
Stayed in town for an evening. Expensive when you don't need all the nice add ons this facility provides.

Fantastic Hotel in Downtown Grand Rapids

I've frequented the Amway Grand Plaza Hotel for business over the years and have always enjoyed my stays. The location is ideal, the staff is friendly and helpful and the accommodations are first class!

Nice hotel with everything you need

Posted 09-Jan-2015
Pros: Fitness center, restaurants, and view.
Cons: Nothing
Location: Spa, salon, restaurants, and museums.
I had a great time with my boyfriend. The hotel never seemed crowed and all of the staff was very nice and very helpful. The pool and fitness center are amazing with the pool and the locker room has everything you would even need that includes mouthwash. The shops and restaurants are nice because you don't have to leave the comfort of the hotel.

The rooms have plenty of room for families. There was ample space for a crib and still space for the kids to play in.
