Television didn't work. Toilet worked sporadically. Had to rehang the shower current to use the shower. Loud parties going on throughout the night, with people arguing, slamming doors, and hanging out on the balcony outside the doors. Random crackhead yelling obscenities and speaking in a threatening tone while picking up sticks and branches on the property. I can only assume he was an employee as the maintenance shed was open and he was using the toots. I booked this place because it was cost effective and close to where my event was this weekend. I regret doing so and will gladly pay more for better/safer accommodations next time.

The room was not what i expected, the room needs to be upgraded and a good scrubbing in the bathroom. The front door needs to be resealed you could see the outside light coming through. The furniture was old and chipped. Other then that the staff was friendly and helpful.

The room was dusty. There was a used shampoo bottle under the shower chair. Dirt in the shower and hair on the toilet. Bed was extremely uncomfortable

Asked to be moved found a cockroach or bedbug idk what it was but gross and hair on everything as if the bed and towels were never washed the walls are gross and nothings dusted.

White till in bathroom was black it had not been cleaned in so long. Inside of door was covered in grease from construction worker's and not being cleaned. Room had not been swept. Floor had toenail clippings and pill along with dust. Dirtiest rooms I have ever seen.

1st time/last time
Both nights I had to get my room key reactivated, The floor in my room was so dirty after taking 2 steps I had to rewash my feet and put shoes on until I went to bed for the night. I found old lime wedges left in the refrigerator from a previous guest and the shower curtain was so old it had tears and holes in it and was stiff. On a good note the sheets and towels were clean.

The blankets had cigarette burns all over them , there was sveral people smoking pot and drinking in the the parking lot when i came out in the morning my vehicle was covered with corunna bottle caps and was very loud all night !!! We checked out a day early

Keys didn't work & rooms not together
We couldn't even spend the night that we had planned because the room keys we were given would not work in the doors. Went back to the office, told them problem and went back to rooms to try keys again and they still wouldn't work. Also, request since traveling together that our rooms be close together, what a joke they were on seperate sides of the building. The only thing right was rooms were on ground floor.

The room smelled like smoke, the floors were sticking, the AC unit was loud, the AC was not working.. only HOT air was blowing. OUR SHEETS had cigarette holes, PILLOWS were flat!! The whole room looked dirty. Worst than I expected. It’s crazy that I saw good reviews, I assumed it’ll be descent but it’s not!

First we were given a key for a wrong room.We couldn't open the door and had to go to the office twice asking to open.Then we found out the the lock need to be replaced.Room is in terrible condition,everything looks dirty,mattress making loud noises and very uncomfortable. Smell in te room like somebody just smoke in there.Very unhappy and dissatisfied with my experience int this hotel.

It was not a non smoking room as stated when booked, it smelled terrible of smoke. Light fixture by night stand didn't work and the one on the wall by tv had a major spiked/short in it that is potentially an electrical hazard. Floors where sticky not clean, old worn down furniture that's seen better days (box spring n mattress was so yellowed over years of smoke etc). Vent in bathroom was caked with major gross sticky dust. No dryer to dry hair, had to ask for towels as there where none. No alarm clock. Overall experience was terrible and very disappointed. Will DEFINITELY NOT STAY THERE AGAIN.

I didn't like the people in Room 110 because they kept me up all night shouting and fighting until 5:00 a.m. I didn't get a good night's sleep. It was hard to enjoy the activity that I came to Grand Rapids for because I was tired. I will not be returning to Travel Lodge for any future stays.

The only thing that I found dissatisfaction in was the website listed a hot tub in the amenities, upon arrival I learned that the only hot tub was in rentable rooms, not available for all customers like the pool.
