“Pretty good”

Definitely not the fanciest place, but the staf where always very lovely and the room was nice and clean. Had pretty much all the amenities needed. Only issue we could find was the bathroom sink did not let the water go down quick enough- and if that's the biggest issue one has, I'd say it was a great vacation!

“Neat, comfortable hotel”

The hotel was clean, nice surroundings, hammocks, books to borrow at the reception, very close to the beach (just need to cross a road and the Caribbean drivers always stop to let you cross). Very spacious room with a great kitchen, including fridge, microwave, etc, everything you need to prepare a meal. Foster's supermaket is 5 mins walk away. To get to downtown George Town, you just need to hail a bus (2 dollars) and its a 6-8 mins ride. Great restaurant at the facilities, the Sunshine Grill, with good food, relaxed atmosphere and reasonable prices. Breakfast was included - muffins, cereal, bread, coffee, fruit - although for 6 $ you can get hot breakfast too, for me the continental breakfast was more than sufficient in the morning. I'd recommend this hotel and I'd definitely stay here again!

“try everything on menu”

they say they have best burger on the island not sure but the Sunshine Grill was full every day for lunch they were doing something right but allow at least an hour for lunch

Area recommendations

one along 7 mile beach not one that you have to cross traffic to get to beach, or walk behind smelly kitchen from other hotels

Getting around

would have been nice if they had van or bus to take folks downtown or to airport

“Best Deal on the Island”

Its been 10 years since I last stayed at Sunshine Suites. It was great then and its even nicer now. Very convenient location, great staff and super friendly. The rooms are nice and comfortable. Most importantly, they have thought of all the little details - provide you beach chairs to walk right across the street and sit on 7 mile beach. The restaurant (which I don't think was there 10 years ago) was a total surprise. Great breakfast and really nice menu for lunch and dinner. Actually, I saw a lot of people coming to eat there that weren't even staying at the hotel. Overall, I think this is one of the best deals on the island.

“Very good, low-budget experience at Sunshine Suites”

Very nice staff, great restaurant, reasonable facilities and only three minutes from one of the nices beaches in the world. Ideal for the no-frills, low budget traveller who likes a sense on camaraderie with fellow guests and who is not after extreme luxury.

“Awesome !!!!”

I would definitely recommend Sunshine Suites !!! The staff is sensational, in addition to being personable. We will definitely be back !!!! Staff made our first visit to Grand Cayman memorable. We'll be back !!!!

“Cayman Fun”

Sunshine suites can't be beat for the price. The rooms are not the Ritz but they are 1/3 the price of the Ritz and you can use the money you save to SCUBA dive daily. Also the food at Sunshine Grill is some of the best on the island. If you dive use Divers Down. They have a max of 8 divers on a boat and they will promptly pick you up at Sunshine Suites and you are 10 minutes away from hopping on he boat and have a great dive.

“Can't Say Enough”

Thoroughly enjoyed Sunshine Suites. It has an excellent, convenient restaurant on site. While not directly on 7-mile beach, it's a easy short walk across the street and down a path to get to it and you won't pay beach prices. Location on 7-mile beach area is perfect. Grocery store, package store, Captain Marvins water sports, and Eats restaurant nearby. Staff will help arrange your activities. Very attentive and friendly staff, from housekeeping to front desk. Beautiful well maintained grounds. Would definitely go back.
