great location
hotel is in excellent location. it was apparent that the lobby and restaurant had been remodeled and it looked great. the rooms however were dated. the bathrooms were abysmal. no water pressure; high pitched squeal every time you used the shower. restaurant and bar food were all right. my daughter loved the pool; it is small though and there was sometime of work going on the doors that led from pool to the outside patio. thus, not really relaxing and were told had to stay inside the pool area. would note that the staff were very attentive and did their best.
Grand Canyon's Best Hotel
The hotel restaurant and saloon was fun. It had live music, excellent service, and really good food. The western theme was well done throughout the building but it wasn't cheesy. Rooms were clean and comfy. They have a nice pool. It is close to Grand Canyon--very close! Imax theatre across the street. I believe it would be a good place for families as well as couples. Really enjoyed my stay there!
Needs work on Customer Service
The Grand Hotel was clean and nicely decorated. The staff were not very friendly. The fire alarm went off in the evening, but there were no instructions on what to do. When we asked what was going on, they just said "it's probably a false alarm." No one was excited or worried about anything. It is a nice hotel, but don't expect much from the staff.....
