“off season”
The only good thing about this hotel for us was the location. It would have been better with a small fridge and microwave for after along day in the canyon none of us wanted to go out again but had to go find a restaurant. The hotel offers a meal but we could not justify paying for the buffet when we could not eat 90% of the items on the menu. Other then this e ery thing else was good
“Good for family to visit Grand Canyon”
Room had a King with a sofabed, which were enough large for me, wife and two teenagers. Restaurant was reasonable and smily services were impressive. Location is not in the national park but is enough close to enjoy both sunset and sunrise.
“Great Location and Value”
Hotel is only a short drive from the South Rim entrance. It is a little hard to find - as my GPS wouldn't pick up the address, but the hotel is right behind the IMAX on the main strip. Rooms were comfortable, especially the beds. The only downside was that you had to go outside to get to the rooms ~ which is weird in 2011, and not enjoyable after sitting in the hot tub, then having to go outside when it is 35 degrees! Overall, the hotel was worth the price.
“Nice, very quiet.”
Arrived, showered, slept, had breakfast and left. Also had breakfast at their restaurant earlier this year, restaurant is good. Mainly impressed with how quiet it was, and beds were comfortable. I lean towards a cheaper place nearby that was booked up, but the higher price was matched by higher quality. Had very little contact with staff, but they were very pleasant.
“Good place to stay”
Indoor spa was terrfific! Staff is very friendly and helpful. Room was clean, temperature was great. Only down side is bed is a little soft, but that is just a personal taste. I would definitely stay there again, next time I visit the Grand Canyon.
“Very impressed and at such a low price!!!”
Such a great location, only 10km from the grand canyon village. But its also fabulously cheap. I'm someone that when searching for a hotel will not look below 5 stars. But this time i decided to go budget friendly and i was not expecting much. I was so pleasantly surprised. The staff were lovely, the room was spotless and very comfortable and the rest of the hotel was immaculate too including the restaurant. I would recommend this place to everyone planning a trip to see the grand canyon!! Thank you for such a pleasant stay :)
“Great Hotel, great Location”
We just came back from our trip to Grand Canyon. The hotel was great. Very comfortable rooms, clean, friendly staff. We were very pleased!! And the hotel is very close to the Grand Canyon National Park. Very convenient location. Yes, I recommend this hotel. +++++++++++++
“Electrical nightmare!”
Would not expect a standard hotel at the Grand Canyon to be great, but the smoke alarm was hanging from the ceiling, the bathroom light and fan went out when the person above used their bathroom. The staff was fine, but I would not stay in that place again. Just didn't seem safe.
“Great for Hikers”
For the money we were very pleased! There were 8 of us hiking the canyon that weekend and the hotel was very accomodating. I would suggest that they keep the buffet open later on Sunday. 9:30am to close is way to early!
“Location Location Location!!!!”
Did I mention location? Not a bad place at all. IMAX is right next door so make sure you go check that out. Its a remake of the journey John Wesley Powell took in 1869. He was the first to successfully float through the entire stretch of the canyon. For the price the hotel was nice. Its not 5 star but the staff was friendly, room was clean and it was walking distance to the store, IMAX and restaurants. I only have a couple complaints. The room has no desk. They have free WiFi but really no place to put your laptop and be comfortable. My other complaint was the price of the food. Pricey and not so great. Other then that it wasnt bad at all.
