Advertised a pool, didn't have a pool.

Posted 24-Jun-2015
Pros: The hotel is clean and easy access to the park and shopping in town as the town is only a couple of blocks long. There is a grocery store.
Cons: Better communication by the hotel on amenities changing and they should offer better quality food if you have to pay additionally for it.
Location: The small town is easily accessible by foot and there is a shuttle pick up directly in front of the hotel if you don't want to drive into the park.
For the "premier" hotel this place is listed as it would seem the only upgrade is the lobby and gift store. When we booked our stay we made sure every hotel we chose offered a pool for the kids to spend some down time swimming. When I asked the location of the pool the hotel staff looked at me like I asked for directions to the moon and then told me they had no pool. I told them I was sure there was a picture of a pool on the website when I booked the room, at this point, they told me they had a pool but it had been removed as the hotel is undergoing renovations. I understand the need for upgrades but I think I should have been notified that the amenities I thought were being provided had been compromised. The staff offered no apologies or any type of accommodation for the inconvenience. For the fanciest hotel (for the lobby at least) this was the least accommodating staff. There was a soda machine down the hotel but no vending machine, I guess they want you to frequent the restaurants. Fortunately all of the stores are within walking distance so this wasn't a real issue. I also recommend avoiding the pricey brunch, even if this was half the price it would be over priced.

A good basic hotel very convenient for the Grand Canyon. No luxuries but more than adequate, especially for the price and location.

Great Stay for Canyon visiting

Posted 22-Jun-2015
Pros: Area. Clean and kept up well !
Cons: Parking
Location: The grand Canyon is a short 3-4 mile distance from Hotel. My only caution is the steakhouse we had dinner at. Worst meal I had on my trip....
Got there and The Grand Squire Village was very nice small place. Easy access to south rim and the Hotel was kept up very well. My wife and daughter especially enjoyed the vanity in the room. Room was very clean better than I expected. Did not go in the lobby but my wife loved it and other guest said good things about the hotel before we got there. Parking was a bit hard due to some renovations going on the north side of hotel but didn't bother me much. Great pic's of the Grand Canyon history around the hotel which I thought we pretty cool. Family of 4 stopped in for a day at the Grand Canyon and I thought it was a great place to stay.

Easy Access

Posted 21-Jun-2015
Pros: Easy to get to and centrally located so could walk around town without any problems.
Cons: Some of the restaurant staff could be more friendly. Took forever to get breakfast then it wasn't the best.
Location: Lots of ways to see the Grand Canyon. Easy driving.
Room was very clean, and comfortable. Air flow was a little hard to regulate. 14 year old LOVED the garden tub. When doing laundry, could really use some fans to move the air. VERY hot.

Es wird von Jahr zu Jahr schlechter

Posted 20-Jun-2015
Pros: Lage!
