“Best location for nightlife, shops and restaurants”
The Alhambra is only 15 - 20 minutes walk away, so unless you're going to spend your entire trip there, a central location is preferable.
“Not that great”
The hotel looked a lot better online. Our room didn't have an actual window! There was a window which was facing an enclosed court yard so other people can see in our room. We kept the curtains down the whole time. No fresh air either...Also the breakfast area was in the courtyard and we could hear every conversation people were having at breakfast starting at 7am!!! We asked to have our room changed and even pay for an upgrade but there was no rooms available. We asked if anything opens at any price to have us moved if possible. No one asked us the next day or even mention anything. The staff wasn't very helpful and they didn't even have a map of Granada... The room was large with a big bed. good size bathroom but the shower was tiny. I could barely move in the shower (it is one of those with sliding doors/ no tub). The location is good. You can walt to many restaurants and coffee shops + shopping. Short bus/cab ride to Alhambra.
“Amazing hotel with the best location ever!”
I can't say enough good things about this hotel. Firstly the location was what we thought to be the best location in Granada, right on a pedestrian shopping street with little squares/piazzas with nice restaurants and gelato shops just a few minutes in any direction. About a 3 min walk to the bus stop, on the main street, to take you to the train station and la alhambra and maybe a 5 min walk into the 'old town'. I loved the street we were on and the face that it was pedestrian only. Secondly the room was very modern, clean and comfortable with a nice bathroom. The staff at the reception were full of useful tips and information and always happy to help. Breakfast was tasty too! I can't recommend this hotel highly enough, it was just such good value. If I am lucky enough to return to Granada I will only stay here.
“Perfect location!”
This hotel really was in the perfect location for the best of Granada and an excellent bargain! It was the only one during our whole stay that offered both breakfast and the internet included for a very reasonable price. Also, we took the olive oil tour (which I highly recommend) and they set it up for us very easily. I really don't think that you could beat this as a place to stay in Granada.
“Excellent hotel for the price”
We spent four nights here - great location - LOVED the roof top patio with awesome view of the Alhambra. We had it all to our selves!
“Central and convenient”
This hotel was in a great location, walking distance to everywhere. It even rained while we were there and we were close to bus stops, restaurants, and shops. Definitely a great choice. We would certainly go back. Plus it's really cute.
“great hotel”
The people running this small hidden hotal are lovely and very welcoming. They speak perfect english which is not a common feature in spain!!!! Breakfast is rather limited btu satisfying.... you get a home feel in this place. If I go back to granada, I would definitely go to mate leo
“Ideal for Granada break, be careful which room you get.....”
Very well located in central district. All pedestrianised streets around the hotel so quiet. Lots of shops, bars & restaurants in area. Alhambra bus nearby no. 30 or 32. We had room 410, its well furnished and the decor is modern and fresh. The room however is internal so that there is no external window. The window opens onto the covered central area in which the breakfast area is located. Although you are above you can hear the breakfast equipment and general noise of people. We asked for air con to be enabled as it was so hot but this was 'not possible' so we sweated in the rather airless room. This applies to 310 & 510 too so beware. I think this spoiled a great 2 day break in Granada somewhat. Travel by car in the city is very difficult as it's all in disarray with roadworks, also it costs 18 euros to park up for 24 hrs nearby. Recommended but choose room with care.
“Great Location”
We had a very enjoyable stay. The hotel was in a great location and the friendly staff were very helpful. The room was comfortable and clean. I would have no hesitation in recommending Room Mate Leo.
“Leo, Granada”
Funky little hotel in an excellent location. Great no-nonsense service and breakfast open until noon!
