“Would not hesitate to return or recommend to friends”
I was extremely impressed with the hotel in particular the reception staff who were very friendly, helpful & attentive. Good location for getting around the city centre. Parking wasn' t cheap but appears to be comparative to other hotels & insure so secure. Would definitely book this hotel again based on my experience.
“Very highly recommended for a City break”
The hotel is situated 10 min walk from the Cathedral, so is well located for getting to most of the city attractions on foot. The airport bus stops right outside it which is ideal. Although the hotel is well appointed and comfortable, the outstanding feature is the staff. They are all extremely friendly and very helpful, providing excellent advice and assistance when needed. This hotel has the most comfortable beds we have ever slept in away from home! The breakfast buffet table had a good choice of breads, cereals, pastries, meats/cheese and fruit in a comfortable dining area.
“Great location”
Great location, extremely helpful staff. Car park great advantage but note is located in the street directly behind the hotel and as such is easy to miss!
“Excellent bed for the night.”
Dauro I (there is also a Dauro II we did not visit) is a 5-7 minute walk from the centre of Granada and a 6 euro taxi fare (in 2009) from the Alhambra. Just 36 rooms in a refurbished building. This is NOT a full-service hotel. There is no restaurant, for example. But if all you want is an airconditioned bedroom for the night and somewhere to leave your car (extra charge) this is a superb place to stay. We used it as an overnight stop for an early start at the Alhambra next day, but intend to go back for longer next time.
“Made my holiday great!”
To begin, I loved the Dauro Hotel. The staff were friendly, the decor was lovely and the location was as perfect as you can get! Not to mention the ridiculously good price for such a well situated hotel! I took my mum and sister to this hotel and it was very family friendly. The triple room was really spacious with great air conditioning and even a mini bar, to at least cool your drinks if you didn't want to rack up a big bill! The bathroom was clean and pretty with enough towels and all your basic bathroom amenities available (i.e. soap, toothbrush, shampoo) although I still took my own! The number 3 or 33 bus from the bus station stops right opposite the hotel (give or take several yards) as I came from Malaga. Although I've been told the bus from the Granada airport stops directly in front of it as well. The Albaycin hills were were within walking distance if you have enough time and energy. It was extremely easy to get to the Alhambra, and the bus stop for that was a ten minute walk away (although definitely book your tickets for the Alhambra a month in advance as it took virtually 5-10 minutes to enter by doing this!) Overall great service and I felt really comfortable here, I would definitely come back! :D
“Good choice in good location”
Very friendly service from Belen at reception especially with tours/ticket assistance for the Alhambra (when the official website said it was sold out). Breakfast selection was sometimes dissappointing if you were not early enough. Room was advertised as including Bathrobes, a Fireplace and a Balcony which it did not, but none of these were too important to us. Reception was only manned by one person so checking in or out could be time consuming. Overall a good quality hotel in a good location.
“Great hotel at a reasonable price”
Easily accessable location on the edge of the old town and right next to El Corte Ingles store. The hotel has its own carpark and provides valet parking. Comfortable double room and decent sized bathroom (shower needs updating however). Exceptionally friendly and helpful lady on reception.
