“All you need”
We only stayed one night and found the hotel to provide everything we needed. Easy walk back from Alhambra and close to everything. Staff were helpful and great being able to have a cup of tea or coffee in the lounge.
“Good price, excellent location”
This hotel stands in an old structure, with little remodeling. However, it is located in an excellent area of the city, nearby tourist attractions and the local tourism co. WiFi service not always reliable, but staff was very helpful, amiable and resourceful. Not a wonderful view from our room, but surrounded by history and beautiful structures. Granada is a wonderful place to visit. Would go back to this hotel.
“Very nice hotel and location”
Very nice hotel and location for the price.
“Amazingly comfortable beds”
This hotel was clean and comfortable - definitely up to Best Western standards. We had a room on the third floor on the side away from the busy street that has the Tapas bars. It was very quiet at night. The mattress and pillows were heavenly. I have back/neck problems so it was a real treat to sleep at this hotel. Normally I use my own chiropractic pillow or I wake up with a stiff neck, but the pillows were amazing at this hotel. It seems to be mostly business travellers staying here so we didn't encounter any rowdy teens/families. The front staff was very friendly and gave a few different recommendations as to what tapas bars to visit. They even let us use the internet and print out our train tickets free of charge. They give you a map of a city and help you get oriented. The hotel's location is about a 10 minute walk to the cathedral and 15-20 minutes to the Albacyn district. It's in a great location for tapas hopping. Overall my partner and I had a great experience at this hotel and would definitely go back.
“Easy comfortable stay.”
The people who own this hotel take care. It was centrally located. We easily walked anywhere and caught the bus and train from a short distance.
“Good Value Good Service”
We were very happy overall with the hotel. The room was on the small side with limited storage but perfectly usable. The room faced onto a noisy back street but the sound insulation worked very well. The only thing we really missed was tea/coffee making facilities in the room. The bar provided a good breakfast at reasonable cost and the service was excellent.
“OK, but not the greatest.”
Hotel elevator is the smallest that I ever encounter. Neighborhood is kind of noisy until very late in the night.
“Brilliant location!”
The Dauro II is located on Granada's best street for tapas bars, brilliant location, would stay there again.
“Excellent location”
Was there two days late March'11, weather was perfect sunny with a cool breeze. Hotel was located along a small cobble-stone street with plenty of restaurants and tapa bars. Hotel room was comfortable and quiet, the thick windows help. The main sites are a short walk away.
“Excellent - central comfortable professional but check taxi prices booked by the concierge”
We loved our stay in Granada and this was enhanced by our overall experience of Daura II. We were met by an excellent female concierge who was very friendly and helpful. Our room was comfortable, including mattresses and pillows (on the small-side, but not a problem). Our Juliet balcony overlooked a lovely street lined with tapas bars, providing a great atmosphere, yet sound proofed when doors shut. Excellent central location, including a 20 minute steep but worthwhile walk to the magnificent L'Alhambra. Meals in the attached restaurant were tasty and reasonably priced, though we did breakfast at the Cafe Futbol which is seconds away and great for churros and chocolate! The one thing that left a bad taste after a wonderful stay was that when we booked our taxi back to the airport via the concierge, the taxi driver appeared to be off duty (taxi light stored in boot) and we were over-charged quite significantly and we were not in a position to argue). Next time, we will use the bus or catch a taxi from the ranks nearby.
