The best part of this hotel is the location. It's pretty much slap bang in the centre of the city, with all the sights in easy walking distance. The hotel is very modern and stylish with a great pool and bar, however the rooms are slightly small, but for a city break that doesn't really matter. Only thing, be wary of the rooftop bar prices, there's many other cheaper alternatives near by.
Great welcome recd a glass of cava on arrival. Door staff in particular were very helpful and friendly. Rooms were very clean and were tidied every day without it interrupting our day. We were upgraded to a superior room which was great and had a room with a view of the iconic Metropolis building. No problem with any noise from the street despite being so close to the Grand Via. Our booking was for room only so we ate out for breakfast and dinner and were spoilt for choice, would recommend the La Cabana ( an Argentinian restaurant) for a great steak.
Nicely renovated hotel in an old building... The room size was good and the balcony over looks the pedestrian walkway... Can be a little noisy at night but not an issue for us... There is a roof garden which has a panaromic view of the city!!! Nice.... The tastefully decorated hotel lobby is a good place to sit and relax... But I guess the best draw of the hotel is its location.... Ur basically in the centre of everything and all can be reach by walking.... will definitely stay here again....
Great location, right on la gran via and steps away from callo metro station. Rooms are a bit small, but perfect for us (a couple). This street has a lot of shopping and dinning, on late june there are a lot of sales arround, so ut was even better. Would come back.
Clean, modern, comfortable, fantastic location, easy to find, great value for money. All the little things that normally go wrong with other hotels were absolutely perfect: no problem with the internet, the room was perfect temperature, plug in sockets were within reach, the room smelt nice..AND I was able to check in early. What a pleasant, hassle free stay. I am definitely coming back and recommending the hotel too all my friends
Good location within easy walking distance of Plaza Mayor, Opera, shopping and dining. We found its location to be convenient to what we wanted. The staffs directions to places like the Prado were a bit out of the way. Perhaps they wanted to keep it simple, but we discovered faster routes that halved the time it took to walk. Decent breakfast for the price. They do offer a free airport shuttle for those going into the city. Unfortunately, the pick up time is 9 AM and for those coming in from the US and landing around 6 AM, it doesn't add much value unless you want to stand around waiting at the airport. We were through customs/immigration and in the main airport by 6:45, so we cabbed it in (cabs charge a fixed rated from the airport), rather than wait. Would be nice if service was offered twice in the morning and afternoon. Other than this recommendation, no problems or issues with the hotel.
We stayed at the hotel for 3 nights and think the location is perfect, right in the centre but without too much noise. The hotel was clean and staff very friendly, and for those hot Madrid nights the air con was brilliant and fairly silent! The only reason I've not given it 5 stars is that we went for the Terrace option, and although the space was great, the loungers were unusable, wooden chairs that had seen better days with nails sticking out all over them. Is a shame because everything else about the hotel and our stay was great, and despite the disappointment on full terrace use if I was back in Madrid is stay here again!
Musicals, hotels, shops and restaurants make the Gran Via a rich vein of entertainment, finishing in the east with the black dome of the Metropolis building. The heart of Madrid, the Puerta del Sol contains the statue of the symbolic bear of Madrid and Tio Pepe sherry sign. Westwards, the grand Plaza Mayor was once the site of inquisitions and executions, but is now mostly visited for its terrace cafes.
