The hotel work force is very efficient and work hard to make your stay worthwhile even though we have spent more time at the beach than by the hotel pools. The downside - smoking allowed by the pools and sitting/eating places. Very unpleasant.

As per Spanish legislation, smoking is permitted in outdoor spaces. There are no smoking and non smoking areas at the Africano Bar or pool for the reasons you mentioned- outdoors you are allowed to smoke as per the spanish legislation.The exception is the kids pool area – which is non smoking (law) and also the sunbed area in the sand in front of the gym and sauna area is also non smoking. We sincerely apologise for any disruption caused. I have stayed here three times in three years. Without doubt the best food in a hotel in the area. In fact probably the best continually top quality food I’ve ever had in any hotel (and really most restaurants all over the world). It is a joy to have dinner. Breakfast is wonderful too. The pools are heated to 28 degrees and all 3/4 are lovely. Staff enjoy their jobs. Service is perfect. It is a quiet, top class hotel with gardens and tranquility. Nothing else like it in the area.

the service was very good and general the hotel deserves 5 stars but i was a little dissapointed with the entertainment program and some of the waiting staff were not quite on the ball.

Amazing relaxing 50th celebration stay
An amazing in hotel right be the beach, just a two minute walk across a very quiet residential street to the the national park and dunes of Maspalomas. The pool and gardens resemble an oasis with all the canary palms around and the neighbouring property adding to the illusion of endless palms. The room was excellent, clean and well maintained as well as quiet. Water was offered daily and a chocolate before bed time. The up-price for halfboard was well worth the reasonable additional cost as the food is of excellent quality with a 4 course meal 4 nights and excellent BBQs the 3 other nights with everything that your heart desires.The staff are incredibly helpful and friendly and speak multiple languages not limited to Spanish, German, English and Dutch. There was very good nightly entertainment during and and after dinner and the 70s style bar lounge has a great vibe. Breakfast was phenomenal and should you wish to swap dinner for lunch you can do so as well if you let the staff at reception know the day before. It was my 50th birthday during our stay and the staff took the time to congratulate me and also left a very nice surprise for me in the room which was very much appreciated. We did not hire a car as we wanted to relax and celebrate and used reasonably priced taxis to get into town and the local express bus to go to Las Palmas both of which can be taken from stops a short walk away. To and from the airport we organised one transfer online and another via the hotel.

One of the very best hotels I have stayed in for service and food quality. The only fault I would have is that everywhere was chilly at night - my fault for going in January and to be fair to the hotel I imagine doors open everywhere was down to covid which I fully accept. Their covid procedures were exemplary. All staff wore face masks and not once did I see a single case of the all too irritating masks being pulled down below the nose because the wearer doesn’t really want one on. The guests were also very careful. The food was excellent, both breakfast and evening meal, excellent choice and quality.

Service and location is great, however hotel can do with upgrading the decor, little too old fashion . Depending on the location of the room because of half circle . Our bathroom was tiny , balcony’s are small. Tea and coffee facilities in the room are basic .no coffee machine. Breakfast display is superb. Dinner option alternate between buffet and table service. The table service and menus option was very good.I preferred this option . Buffet had good selection, with limitations. The gym is semi outdoor, with basic facilities Spa is very good, the steam room area is great however it was shut due to Covid .

The Seaside Palm Beach is a lovely friendly hotel. The staff are excellent, for example making a phone call on my behalf in Spanish. Also the hotel provides nice touches like a present filled stocking outside the room door on St. Nicholas's day. The breakfast buffet is superb and the hotel is in a great location, with lots of restaurants etc nearby.

A proper 5* hotel
A well located hotel with excellent standards of service. On the expensive side for five star hotels in Maspalomas, but the difference in standards was noticeable. I would thoroughly recommend staying at this property.

Let me start by saying that We had an amazing time at Maspalomas and at this hotel. It’s very central, walking distance to the beach and to town and is well maintained and the staff are excellent. We had a beach view room and the view from the balcony was amazing. Breakfast was plentiful and the pool area was clean and organized well. Having said that, the hotel is a 4 not a 5 star. It absolutely caters to German tourists (our greeting card was in German). While I loved the decor because it reminds me of a Kubrick film, it could also be viewed as dated 60’s decor. There’s no room service and the bathroom, while well designed, is smaller than the one in my NYC apartment. In summary, a great 4 star hotel but at 5 star prices. We’d stay here again in a heartbeat but just trying to be truthful.

A very pleasant surprise
Loved this hotel from the minute we checked in to the minute we checked out. All the staff from the Manager to the Chambermaids are extremely helpful & happy in their jobs and it shows everyday. The food was absolutely wonderful including the buffets & a la carte meals. We had a spectacular suite with a. bedroom & living room and an enormous bathroom. A Daily Mail newspaper delivered to us each morning which was a special touch. A lovely bottle of Champagne & snacks when we arrived and bottles of water & fresh fruit daily. I had a mobility scooter while I was there & it was looked after everyday and charged for me overnight when I came back with it. I cannot recommend this hotel highly enough and would encourage anyone to go there.

Deserving of its 5 star status
The hotel is in an excellent position. The beach is a short walk away together with a small shopping area and restaurants and bars. We were welcomed in a friendly and professional manner and offered a welcome drink whilst checking in and having the hotel facilities explained. The room was spacious, immaculately clean and well appointed overlooking the swimming pool and restaurant. Every morning the room was cleaned and tidied to a high standard and the turn down service with fresh towels, chocolates and bottles of water in the early evening was a very nice touch. On the first night although it was late, 10pm, we were served very graciously in the tapas bar. The waiter made excellent choices for us and the service was prompt. The breakfast choice is unbelievably huge; everything is fresh and plentiful. We opted to go half board after trying one of the local restaurants. The food in the hotel, set dinners and bbqs was very good, again with huge choices for both dinners and bbqs. The pools, gardens and spa area are all well maintained and beautifully laid out. Staff were helpful, polite and smiling, nothing was too much trouble. The staff genuinely cared about the service they were giving. The staff look immaculate in their fresh, pressed uniforms. Guests are made to feel very special and are treated with respect. This is an excellent hotel, well organised, well maintained and has a caring attitude.
