“Very impressed, had a lovely holiday.”

We had a sunshine getaway to this hotel in Gran Canaria and were very pleased with value for money. Hotel was very clean, staff attentive and friendly, food was good. Had no complaints. Pools had enough space to find 'our spot'. We would go back again. All booked through Expedia about 6 weeks prior with no problems.

Area recommendations

We stayed prettu much in the resort and 2 - 300 yards around.

“Fantastic!”

We returned to the hotel this time bringing our daughter with her husband and young baby. It was every bit as good as before. Lovely ambience, superb pools and excellent dining. All the staff were helpful and welcoming.This hotel will remain a favourite with us and we anticipate returning regularly.

“Amazing hotel and jewel in the Meloneras Crown”

From the moment we arrived, the greeting was amazing, we had a free upgrade to a sea view, the staff made us feel very welcome and cosseted. The choice of food was outstanding, as was the quality of the ingredients. We enjoyed a spa day and felt very relaxed and pampered. The situation of the hotel is excellent for most things, and a taxi ride to Playa del Ingles was about 4 Euros. We cannot recommend this hotel enough and we will definitely be staying here again!

Area recommendations

Meloneras/Maspalomas. Is great because you're far enough away from the Playa del Ingles and the Yumbo centre to be peaceful, but close enough if you want to visit for a bit of a night out and a laugh.

“Very good hotel, Not your typical Spanish holiday experience”

Hotel was on par with those that you find in the big 5 star resorts of Egypt. Was a nice comfortable stay with the standard room being very spacious The hotel is well organised, well run and close to beach and upmarket shops etc. Another good factor was that although the hotel was busy, never seened to be croweded due to it's immense size. even getting a prime spot by one of the 4 pools was never too difficult, and I never resorted to putting my towel down in the early morning before breakfast. Dinner buffet wasn't great, pretty good choice, but standard tasting. However the breakfast buffet was superb witha fantastic array of foods to suit everyone.

Outdoors or beach

The area is really nice. It's obviously been developed solely for tourism, which meant is was clean, new, efficient and had everthing you could want and need on your holiday. Even an easy to use bus station to get you to other sight seeing destinations on the island.

“Good for couples”

We got a pretty good deal for the quality of this hotel and on this basis we were not disappointed. Gardens and pools are lovely. Rooms are clean, facilities good - two showers and a bath in our bathroom, beds were confortable etc. The hotel is quiet despite entertainment until late, and the guests civilised and not late-night drunken types. I am a light sleeper and did have to buy earplugs to help me sleep as marble floors and moving furniture make sudden, screechy noises from the floor above even if people are just coming in quietly from a late night - hotel management please note felt pads on the chair legs would improve this no end!!! Food is decent quality in the buffet restaurants, plenty of fresh salad, fruit, grilled meat and bread for plain eaters. The style of the cooked dishes and also of breakfast is mainly Spanish and German (like the guests in the hotel). There is a different theme each day some good, some not - sushi was good, Italian night less so as the pasta was overcooked. My son loved the chocolate fountain on the Romantic night ! Definitely try the gourmet offer a couple of nights - the Ambassador food is as good as any I have tasted in London or elsewhere. For snacks, suncream etc there is a very cheap supermarket just outside the beach gate - worth the five minutes extra to get to it instead of shopping in the hotel. There isn't much for teenagers to do however - I would recommend this hotel for couples or families with very small children.

“Fantastic Hotel but would help with one improvement”

Would I go back? most definitely yes. However, The pillows on the bed were very poor, which lack a lot of substance. My partner also found she could not sleep easily on the bed as well as the pillow. I think the pillows need attention, though I do not know if they are like the same in every room. Mattress may also need some attention. Otherwise a great hotel

“Excellent Break!”

Arrived at 9pm - They upgraded our room to a slightly bigger one with sea view. Collected us from Air port in VAST Mercedes! Excellent choice of breakfast. We ate out for all other meals, wonderful choice of places within 5 min walk. Fantastic pools & gardens. Shows every night should you wish to watch. All in all, a very good break, very reasonable, + sweet staff.

“You will not be disappointed!”

This hotel is excellent and much better than we expected given the four star rating. The pools are absolutely incredible and set this hotel apart from many of the four and five star hotels we have stayed in. The food in all the restaurants is excellent quality and very reasonably priced. The junior suite is a very good size for a family of four. The room decoration and furnishing was fine but not the best we have seen. The staff were polite and attentive. Overall the service was usually excellent.

Area recommendations

The area near the lighthouse is the best place to go out to eat and drink.

Getting there

Taxis from the aiport to this resort are expensive so booking a transfer wil probablly save you a lot..
