"Good size apartments. Lovely terrace and pool area"
Travelled with a mixed age group to a wedding. Babies to pensioners. Pool area was perfect. Baby pool separate. Not many places to eat nearby but bus or taxi to San Augustan plentiful, quick and cheap. About 4 or 5 euros in taxi and 1 euro on bus. Definitely recommend it to anyone who does not want to be right in the middle of busy bars etc. So peaceful with fab views of Atlantic Ocean.
We booked this hotel for an out of season break for four adult males. The hotel staff were very friendly, the rooms were clean and functional. It is quite a long way up the hill so you either need to be comfortable with climbing multiple sets of steps or will need to use taxis which are plentiful and cheap. I would happily stay here again.
"hotel reception staff could be more friendly,,overall a great stay but the hotel needs a refurb."
After a long tiring flight and resort transfer on arrival at reception i was met with blank stares by 2 female receptionists.A manager arrived after a few minutes and said they were full and enquired had i been contacted by expedia..he didnt offer any solution either.I produced my email confirmations and pointed out my details which were on HIS clipboard..They overbooked but the fact i had my confirmations and paid 3 weeks in advance i wasnt been fobbed off. A few minutes passed and then he just handed me my room cards and pointed in its general direction, offering me no explanation/apology.The hotel is built right on the beach which is fab. it has great facilities but now could do with refurbishment..The staff in the resturant and cleaners were very friendly/helpfull and only reminded me about the lack of service at reception.we had a very relaxing stay at the hotel.playa del cura is a very quite and isolated location. The hotel resturant is great but is the only one of standard available. Our last day we were offerd a courtesy room to shower and change before our transfer to the airport, both of them pointed out numerous times it was only available to us for 15mins which i thought was ludicrous for 2 people to shower and my wife to dry her hair.Overall we had a lovely holiday there ,But my advice to hotel managment would be take a good long look at the level of service / courtesy provided to guests by the duty manager and his reception staff, and yes dont overbook their room !
If this place was closer to the centre of Maspalomas it would be with out a doubt triple the price. It is a 4Euro taxi ride in or a 40 minute walk. Factor that cost onto the really low cost of the apartment and you still get a great bargain.
It is low rise, very quiet, very clean with such friendly staff who will give you any help with a smile.
Well appointed apartment with comfortable double beds.Masses of flowers and greenery. A free library, great restaurant next door. Such a pretty place. Seems to attract quiet people.
Too quiet for teens.Good pool and poolside bar selling food at good prices.

Enjoyed a great holiday good location with easy access (if you are fit lots of walking) to Amadores Beach and Puerto Rico. Good pool areas with sun beds easily available throughout the day. We were bed and breakfast which enabled us to get out each evening for meals of which there are a number of good restaturants to suit all tastes and pockets to choose from, although there is entertainment each night for those wishing to stay in. We used the Spa each day which was a bonus and paid for a spa treatment which was excellent. There is a huge choice for breakfast and given the number of guests we never really queued for the food more than a couple of minutes. The rooms are spacious with good sized balconies however ours did not get any sun but did have a sea view as requested. The single beds can be braced together to form a double bed if requested. There is a sizeable car park with 24 hour security as we hired a car this was very useful.
We had a great stay at Marina Suites, lovely accommodation and ideally situated for restaurants, boat trips, supermarket, etc. Room was well serviced by cleaning staff, other hotel staff didn't bother us unless we wanted something. Nightly entertainment was excellent, infinity pool and hot tubs fab, drinks and meals not too expensive. We would certainly recommend Marina Suites and would love to go back.
