“Nice Hotel, Fantastic Location!”

The Hotel Concorde is ideally situated - 400m from the Playa de Las Canteras - possibly the best city beach anywhere. If you're coming to the Gran Canaria and you want to do more than just sunbathing and go to English bars and Sky Sports bars go to Las Palmas there is so much more to do here than Maspalomas or Playa de Ingles. The hotel is five minutes walk from the Estacion de GuaGua - Santa Catalina (Fare is 5 Euros one way from the airport) or about 35 euros by Taxi. The Breakfast here is incredible - all you can eat, and hot buffet, cheese and cold meats and fruits cereals etc. If you want to Sunbathe - the Hotel has a fabulous sunbathing rooftop complete with swimming pool. Las Palmas has great shopping centres and historical stuff like the casa de colon (Christopher Columbus house) and museums to visit. I travelled in December 2011 (last week) and the temperature was between 20 and 26 degrees (even at night!!!). I would really recommend this hotel particularly for its brilliant breakfasts (all in a rooftop restuarant with great views of the beach0 and its location.

“Old hotel but in the city center”

Very close to Las Canteras beach. (30 meters). The beach and hotel is inside the city, not like Maspolamas area. There is sea view in the restaurant. Food is excellent and much better than other restaurants around. Staff are friendly. Hotel definitely needs maintenance but it is clean. If you like windsurfing, you will find many good nerby destinations, Pozo etc.

“Decent hotel right by the beach”

I booked this hotel mainly because of it's location. It is under a minute from Playa de las Canteras and a walk of only 4 or 5 minutes from Parque Santa Catalina and it's bus station from where you can easily get to the airport or the city's main bus station at Parque San Telmo. The hotel is perfectly adequate but doesn't really live up to the 4 stars that it claims. The room was clean but wasn't really anything special. They could do with a little modernisation such as some new furniture and more effective air-conditioning. Breakfast was good, it was standard buffet stuff with excellent views from the dining room. The staff were friendly and helpful. So, overall this hotel is ok. It's not really 4 stars but then for the price I paid I wouldn't have truly expected it to be!

“who gives out the stars for a hotel ???”

I was not impressed with the hotel, for a 4 star hotel I find it very poor. The breakfast including coffee was not good at all, swimming pool on the roof dirty and unusable. A/C was not working. For the price i will for sure find another Hotel in Las Palmas for my next stay.

“Good 3 star hotel in excellent location”

The hotel was comfortable, with a good location for exploring Las Palmas, very close to Las Canteras beach and good transport links via Santa Catalina. In a busy area, but excellent soundproofing and blackout curtains in room. Staff were always friendly and helpful. The hotel was clean, though a bit dated in places. No room service, lack of drinks making facilities in room and a lack of breakfast options let this down compared with other similarly starred hotels I've stayed in. Still a good place to base yourself in Northern Las Palmas and excellent for the beach and seafront.

“Would definitely go back!”

The Concorde is perfectly situated, being close to the beautiful, sandy Las Cantaras beach with its long pedestrian promenade. Also close to shops and buses including the airport coach near Santa Catalina Park. The view from the 6th floor restaurant of the beach and north coast is breathtaking. Excellent breakfast buffet and attentive staff.

Great hotel. Nice little roof-top pool. Rooms good. Staff helpful. Restaurant opening times for breakfast very reasonable. Not a great choice of food for evening meal but plenty of local restaurants nearby.

“Hotel proche de la plage et du centre ville, avec un excellent breakfast”

Bon rapport qualité prix, proche de la plage avec promenade sans voiture; proche aussi du centre ville; le breakfast est excellent avec une jolie vue sur la mer; le personnel est charmant (mais s'exprime en anglais); mérite d'y passer 3 ou 4 jours; les chambres et sanitaires sont très corrects.

“Next time we will try another hotel in this area”

This hotel is a great place to live, however, avoid rooms on the fifth floor, every morning you wake up at 5 am with noise from the restaurant where they got ready for breakfast. After a day where you've gone much we lacked a good armchair in the room. It is a minus that there is no parking at the hotel, you can park near the hotel, but it costs approx. Euro 9 per. today.
