The staff could not be more helpful and friendly. Breakfast buffet excellent. Hotel facilities and room was well beyond our expectations. The area is a little limited but the bus services excellent.

I booked this hotel because it had an exceptional rating. It was not wrong; everything was just superb. The staff are friendly and can’t help enough. The food in the buffet restaurant is fantastic - the best I have ever had at an all inclusive resort. My room was spacious and spotlessly clean. I cannot fault my stay at all. Book this hotel, you won’t be disappointed.

Nice hotel, pretty large and up on a hill so a bit of a steep walk down to the beach/shops. Did take me a while to figure out that QR codes were on some of the tables which enabled you to look at menu/drinks menu - that would've been nice to have either been informed at reception or to have in a welcome in the room. There was no welcome pack nor any kind of digital info in the room. There was a TV outside the main restaurant which showed events that were happening each day - there was a QR code on the screen but I could not get it to work on my phone. Room was nice and spacious with air con and a balcony view of the sea. We were all inclusive and so ate at the main restaurant for majority of our meals. We also ate lunch a couple of times at the pool bar. The pool was really nice, lot of loungers and there was a very enthusiastic staff member who was at the pool most days doing either some exercise classes/games in the pool or drinks making/tasting The spa was nice with a sauna/steam room and pool with various jets Breakfast was always very nice with a vast selection of hot/cold items, fruits, meats, cheeses, juices and fizz Dinner was themed each night and was a good selection of food and desserts - shame you couldn't get any cocktails or spirits in the main restaurant as I do not drink wine or beer. There wasn't any information available regarding the surrounding area - but we walked along the coast both ways and the walk was not far to reach the next town Peurto Rico

Lovely hotel. Good room size, beautiful pool overlooking the beach and some good spa facilties. Also very good food. Night times were abit quiet, not much to do/no good entertainment. But other than that id highly recommend.

Liked proximity to the beach and beautiful sea view. Plenty of sun loungers WiFi was great A few things could be impoved at the hotel.. Staff tried hard but Restaurant staff very brusque V noisy bedroom doors with people in and out late Average cleanliness but really not that great Food Average at best & very samey Hated the glass bottles of water - cut myself twice trying to open them. Gave up and bought plastic bottles of water from the supermarket.

Great hotel. Lovely staff. Impressive property. Absolutely fabulous swimming pool. 1.55 meters deep, about 50 meters long and on the widest side about 15 meters wide. Also smaller pool for toddlers. Food is great. Airco in the room is the best we've ever experienced. Great location. You won't regret going here.

Great hotel for a spot of relaxation in the sun. Close to nearby cove beach. Hotel facilities were excellent and well managed. Complimentary Spa was great especially convenient for parents as they had 2 children slots per day so the whole family can join in.

Excellent location with beautiful views of the Amadores beach from our room. The beach is is just a short walk away. Good options for food along the promenade if opting for half board. The inclusive buffet have a good spread and different options every day. Interesting to watch British / American programmes in Spanish on TV. Helpful staff. Shout out to Roberto at reception.

The hotel looks much better inside then outside. Room, I had was lardge with a fantastic view. Food was good, however wine in all inclusive was rather poor. Service very, very good.

This a superb hotel in a fabulous but small location. Feedback for Reception staff is that if an All Inclusive customer books the A la Carte restaurant they need to be told that it’s not included in the all inclusive. When I asked for the drinks to be taken off the bill with numerous reception staff I kept getting fobbed off to come back at different times. It never got sorted out for us and there was never any apology or acknowledgment that an error was made, which was disappointing.

This complex is very nice and comfortable. The staff are very friendly when meeting around the complex. Great location. Food selection is good though a little repetitive. Our room in block 1 was very spacious, clean and comfortable. On the negative side there were a couple of issues that were not handled very well by management. Firstly, when we arrived we asked a member of staff if we could access the “guest lift” to reception on the 6th floor to check in. Instead she instructed us to carry and pull our heavy luggage up a very steep hill in the rain to reception. On arrival at reception and on complaint of this we were advised that the member of staff who gave this instruction should have operated the lift for us!! They did speak with this staff immediately and apologised but nothing further in the way of an apologetic drink waiting at the bar for us. Secondly, due to adverse weather conditions, we were woken in the night by a loud and very scary crash which shook the room. Due to very heavy rain rocks had crashed down from the cliff wall behind unto the surface right outside our door. Staff were immediately on hand to investigate and start the clear up but no one inquired as to our well being then or next day despite it being a very scary moment. It appears staff are trained to smile and say good morning but management incapable of proper follow up procedure in cases like this. The above incidents happened within 48 hours of our arrival so dampened our stay.

Excellent holiday and stay at the Gloria Royal. Really clean, staff really friendly and happy to help no matter what the issue. The food was fantastic with lots of choice, buffet style to ensure they can cater to all tastes. The only minor negative was the rush this created around mealtimes, but it’s what to expect when serving so many guests. We ate out a few times with great restaurants nearby and in Puerto Rico. This is our second stay at this hotel and we will definitely come back again.

Gloria Palace Royal has views to die for; the sea, the way the infinity pool looks, the lovely beds up on 6th floor with funny pool. 5 min walk to beach. Was very good value for money too. Food was very good on half board and staff very nice.

Great location and hotel - COVID secure
A great hotel and perfect location for a family break. Good sized room with a sea view. We chose the half board option and were really pleased with the food options. Access to the beach is good and no more than a 10 minute walk. Due to COVID the hotel was at 40% capacity, so no problems getting a subbed by the pool. Staffing numbers have been reduced due to COVID demand and this lead to the service being a little slow at times, but all the staff were friendly and helpful. All COVID rules are applied and we felt secure during our staff. Definitely a place to return to with family for late autumn sun.

Good pools. Fair gym. All inclusive buffets very, very good. Some slightly strange all inclusive rules, but ok. Staff at reception perfunctory and unfriendly for both check in and check out. Close to beach but short walk is quite steep. Lovely beach. 12 Euros for 2 beds and a parasol.

We went to this hotel 11-18th January and for 4* hotel it was very high standard. We went all inclusive but had planned to eat out however the variety of food and drinks were so good we only went out one evening during the week. There was so many choices and food was always so fresh. We liked sunbathing at the infinity pool however we loved the other area on top floor with double beds and small bar/food area. We only had a couple of negatives but overall hotel excellent - We had to go and buy a travel iron as they don’t have an iron in room and you can’t borrow one - they do offer a laundry service which you pay per item of clothing- Also we had a late flight home 8pm on the 18th - we asked for a late check out but this was not possible - we had to check out at midday. We checked out but still had our all inclusive armbands on and went to pool bar area after 12 to get a drink and said all inclusive was not included and we had to pay for the drinks. They said with Expedia the small print on form signed on check in says all inclusive ends at 12 o’clock - They did give us a lunch voucher for the main restaurant but this should have explained this to us on checking out. It didn’t leave the last few hours of holiday at hotel as good as it could have been. All that was needed was explanation when checking in and out. Overall holiday excellent!

Best infinity pool around
Excellent stay. Best infinity pool I’ve been in. Great location. Staff super friendly and helpful. Great restaurants nearby for around 3 to 4 euros taxi ride (Minanas in Puerto Rico and also Guantanamo in Tauro).

Incredible location
Such amazing views from the room. We really enjoyed our stay. Service was excellent. So many wonderful restaurants near by too
