Fabulous winter break location !
Lovely room overlooking the sea from which we saw amazing sunsets. We took advantage of the half board with evening buffet. All food was of a high standard. The pool terrace was sheltered from wind, pool was heated and it was a sunny location all day. Lovely walks from the hotel in both directions. They used a company called Anamation, for aqua gym and various other events, all of which were very entertaining . Staff friendly and helpful around the hotel.

I had if i were her boss,asked her to excuse.Rgds.
There was especially young lady,made mee angry.I explaned -and she wouldn´t understand.I hope she will explane,why.She was the manager,they told mee.She promised to answer,none came to my room to check neither.I got very good service from reception desk,and also after i moved to an apartment.Hope to get explanation for her behave.

Fantastic Ocean View in a Quiet Neighborhood.
Very nice hotel with view of the ocean from inside the room. Nice to see a full mini-fridge and the first supply of drinks were free. Quiet at night. WiFi worked well. Large shopping center across the street with taxis and bus stops. Breakfast was included, it was quite large and there was plenty food of every type. Asked for a king bed, got doubles. Watch out in the shower, the temperature swings between hot and cold rapidly. No wash cloths or tissues provided. Nothing in English on TV except BBC and CNN.

Overall was a good stay. Was a little disappointed that the gymnasium was not open yet as the hotel website had advertised as open. Clean rooms. Great ocean view. Stupid rules about not wearing shorts to dinner, which is just a buffet. Rediulous. Staff is friendly enough but the majority of guests from Europe are a miserable lot. I would recommend this hotel to others.

Would definitely recommend - a fab hotel
I was very impressed with Dunas Don Gregory. The view from every room is fab overlooking the ocean, with palm trees and sunset visible from our room. The swimming pool and two sun terraces provide for all guests, we prefered the top terrace. But most of all the staff really made the stay very special indeed, they were always friendly and helpful. The waiters were brilliant on New Year's Eve, working tirelessly to ensure everyone was being looked after. The hotel created a very special occasion for New Year, with entertainment, live band as well as complimentary wine throughout the meal. Reception staff were also very helpful. They all seemed to be from the region itself and seemed genuinely to work as a team, as though they'd all been there for a while - creating a very happy ambience in spite of the hotel being quite big. Don't be put off by the horrid shopping centre nearby, which you see when you first arrive: once you're in your room that's not visible at all - and in fact proved useful at times to buy odds and ends. Once in your room, you have the wonderful terrace and ocean view to enjoy! I would love to come back - and just hope that after the refurbishment, the prices don't go up. We thought the rooms were comfortable and clean - in the eyes of some a little dated maybe but didn't bother us - hence the refurb I guess. In summary - wholly recommend this hotel.

Great All Inclusive ocean front hotel
All rooms are ocean front. This is one of the few hotels on the island situated directly on a sandy beach. The rooms are spacious. The 8th floor has some rooms that are town house rooms with beautiful views to the ocean from the living room, balcony and bedroom. The pool is heated. You can opt for all inclusive for a reasonable price. We choose breakfast and dinner included to have the afternoon free to tour the island. The dinner offerings varied from day to day. The beach board walk is a well manicured long stretch with shopping and restaurants. A supermarket with reasonable priced snacks is located across the street. The staff is multilingual. The area is safe to walk around day and night time. My only regret is that I could not stay longer. It’s an ideal place for a long holiday.

Hotel Dunas Don Gregory. Gran Canaria.
This hotel was just perfect in every way. The staff were fanastic and so nice. The location was perfect and close the beach, walk ways, bars and restaurants also busses and the taxi rank were close to the hotel. Their own restaurent was wonderful and the food was super. The heated swiimming pool and terrace views while having a coffee was just beautiful. Nice piano bar and comfortable rooms with great balconies and again lovely views.

Great hotel for a relaxing seniors holiday.
This was our first visit to the canaries? My wife and I are retired and just wanted a quiet week in the sun. The hotel was ideal. Most guests were older, mainly German. The staff couldn't have been nicer, particularly with disabled guests and the food was fabulous. The rooms are a little dated but all have a sea view and have everything we needed. The grounds open on to a promenade with walks in either direction and access to a nice beach. At the back is a large shopping complex with many supermarkets and restaurants. The pool is large, spotless and warm and the pool side bar and restaurant is a delight. We shall return!

An entirely enjoyable stay!
Friendly hotel staff, a beautiful shady garden together with the proximity of the beach, very comfortable beds and the superb variety of the food all made our stay a very enjoyable one. I would certainly return to Dunas Don Gregory for another holiday.

Great hotel for family holiday right on the beach
The location of the Dunas Don Gregory is what attracted us to book this hotel, it is literally on a lovely soft, dark sandy beach which was perfect for a family holiday with a 2 young children. The hotel itself, although dated in some areas, was a pleasant surprise. From various reviews we expected to be the only family but there were plenty of younger couples and families with children of various ages along with the older clientele. Our room was spacious and clean, made up with 2 generous twin beds and 2 put-up beds for the children. We had a small balcony with amazing views of the beach, sea and Maspalomas sand dunes in the distance. The pool was lovely and there were plenty of free sun-loungers throughout the day. We stayed half board which worked out well with the children especially with the first dinner sitting starting at 6:30pm. The breakfast and dinner buffet was great. Dinner included lots of fresh salads, vegetables and selection of fish and meat dishes and plenty of choice for the kids who loved going to get their next course. The waiters in the restaurant were especially lovely to the children even though they were working extremely hard to keep the restaurant running smoothly with the large numbers of people moving through. We enjoyed our mealtimes and certainly didn't feel rushed to leave. The children did enjoy the acrobatic show one evening but be warned the music nights don't finish until 11pm so you may well be hearing the birdy song on a loop!

" Relaxing short break "
Went as a single traveller, hotel was fine for short visit. Positives : Clean throughout hotel, lovely location on the promenade. Food adequate choice, reasonable quality. Negatives: Small outside area and lounge area, would probably prefer a larger pool area. Gym was in the basement, smelly with dated equipment and not enough space between machines. All inclusive drinks not replenished, always had to go and ask someone for another glass of wine at dinner. No waiter service around pool or in lounge area. Other guests were mainly over 65 years old, not a negative just an observation. Adequate hotel, not luxurious but clean and comfortable.

Booked hotel for myself, friend and my 2 year old daughter. Wanted something quiet and close to the beach for a short break. Few hiccups at the start with regards to staff not being helpful and quite dismissive and breakfast not very good but the problem was resolved by the next day by the lady manager who was very helpful and apologetic. The location is ideal but is definitely for elderly couples we didn't feel very comfortable at meal times and around the pool as there were no children and we felt we were bothering the other guests because of my 2 year old (who is actually very good. ) We spent most of our time on the beach which suited us and it was an ideal location, close to shops , restaurants and of course the beach. The rooms are dated but comfortable.

Fabulous location
The hotel was practically on the beach in a quiet part of the island. You could watch the sun rise and set from your balcony. The staff were helpful and we had a thoroughly enjoyable and relaxing holiday.

Great place for a beach holiday
What attracted me to this hotel was it's proximity to the beach as described in the information I'd first read. Its short walk is ideal for holidaymakers who want to spend their time doing the "sand, sea or surf" thing. I also liked that it was a reasonable drive - approximately 15 minutes - from the airport. However, being rated a 4 star hotel, is overly generous as, in my view, it isn't up to that standard. In general, most of the staff tried to be helpful, although language was sometimes an issue, and questions/requests got lost in translation. My biggest issue, was with the room. My first impression on arrival was the off putting smell, which I think came from a damp/mustiness in the bathroom - but coouldn't be sure. The decor, could do with sprucing up and I certainly don't expect to see cobwebs on the ceiling! Another drawback was the basic TV set, limited number of stations available, and the only English speaking channel was a dedicated news channel. Not a particular problem for me, but may be for others, especially families. I took the all inclusive option, which is useful if you don't want the hassle of trying to find places to eat. The food was plentiful, if a little bland, their focus clearly on catering for the masses, and not on showcasing the food of the region. On the positive side, there was lots to encourage healthy eating, but what was with the cold beans! Overall, - not the worst hotel in the world, but definetely could do better.

Excellent stay at Don Gregory!
I have just come back from a 6-day stay at the Don Gregory, a hotel I can highly recommend. Rooms were very nice with beautiful view over the ocean (though one of our rooms did smell a little old). Staff is very very friendly, service is great, food excellent (breakfast and dinner buffet), pool area is nice and location of the hotel for a quiet stay couldn't be better. The hotel also surprised me with a bottle of champagne in my room as I celebrated my birthday - this was on their own action - customer focus! The location is great - nice beach walk only 15 minutes away from a small shopping center and about 25 minutes away from Playa del Inglés. The beach right down the hotel is one of the better in the area. Quiet and not so crowded. I strongly recommend this hotel. I will for sure be back if I am ever in the area again.

the Don Gregory Hotel is a fine establishment that has fine ocean view twin rooms. Food was good and the service was attentive and professional. My Only let down from the Hotel was the location of fthe baggage storage area post checkout. I requested a late checkout and this was not available. I put my bag in the secure area (Completely unsecure and open access to all. It was not overlooked by camera or the reception) Was told that there was an allocated room to change but this did not materialise and had to use a bathroom with filthy floors. Diminished an otherwise good experience at the Hotel

Flott strandhotell!
Vakkert strandhotell med perfekt beliggelse ved sjøkanten med nydelig utsikt over sjøen og snadørkenen i Maspalomas. Hotellet er et eldre 70-tals hotell som er vakkert renovert og oppleves som moderne og veldrevet. Kort avstand til flyplassen og god bussforbindelse inn til provinshovedstaden Las Palmas. Det serveres spennende og varierte måltider og samtlige ansatte oppleves som svært imøtekommende og vennlige. Hotellet kan sterkt anbefales!

Herlig strandhotell!
Dette er et utrolig hyggelig strandhotell som ligger sentralt plassert ved San Agustín med kort vei fra flyplassen og rett ved stranden. Hotellet er moderne og smakelig innrettet med hyggelig og service innstilte ansatte. Hotellet har alt man behøver for en avslappende ferie ved stranden.

Underbart hotell med det bästa läget intill Burras. Enkelt att välja poolen, soldäcket eller stranden. Allt lätt tillgängligt. Mycket trevlig personal som var hjälpsam. Mycket bra frukost. Gymmet var i minsta laget.

Great location but food was poor quality overall.
The hotel, room and pools were okay and I enjoyed my stay. However the food was not very good. I had breakfast and dinner included and the choice was excellent - however the quality very poor. Most meat/poultry was tough, sinewy and dry. Poor quality and food in general was not kept warm enough. That also contributes to everything being very dry. All bread was also very dry and did not seem fresh but stale. There was no direction or theme except for 1 day and all food lacked garnishes and flavour. Overall food quality could improve a lot. It was not very corona friendly either, with big buffet, tons of people in line and a lot of items lacked tongs so people had to use their hands. Breakfast juicebar was very good though. Overall I probably would not stay again because of that even though I did enjoy the room itself as well as the location.
