The hotel that is falling apart
If you are able to pick another hotel during your stay at Canary Island, I would do so. It is _not_ safe for a stay and certainly not with children. Walls are showing great water damage and have pieces of wall filler and dust falling off everywhere. I am not kidding when I say this was in every room and every wall of our bungalow. What about having electricity socket not being attached to the wall with live electricity still going through it? This was brought up to the hotel and the customer relations personell was very good talking to about it. I was told compensation could not be done at the hotel as it was booked through hotels.com, but as we since have arrived home they take zero accountability in the matter. To the length that they say this was never brought up with the hotel and refuse to converse further about the subject. Ignoring calls, ignoring emails, ignoring everything. Send us an email and we will reply in 24h is the only thing you can get, while that has been sent and tried over five times now, still no reply on the matter and hotels.com say they cannot do anything until they do. I sincerely consider this a maximum two star resort until their problems are taken care of. Seeing the janitor running around with a bucket of wall filler and while paint says a lot. Patching a turd is what they are doing. I hope you will not have any problems if you go here, but I would suggest going elsewhere. Management is not to be trusted.

Entertainment wasn’t the best and indoor arena wasn’t ideal for everyone to see the ‘shows’. Staff were helpful and friendly from reception to restaurant to housekeeping.

Lovely resort with beautiful bungalows
This is a really lovely resort with beautiful, spacious bungalows. Ours had a lovely large bedroom, a great loving / dining room and kitchen plus a large shower room and an external space to hang towels and clothes to dry. In addition, we had a lovely terrace and large garden to enjoy the glorious sunshine. The restaurants and bars were great with a variety of great food. We went all inclusive and made the most of the great food and beers. The resort is in a great location, just 1 km from Maspalomas lighthouse and the great beaches and sand dunes. The pools at the resort were many and our room was at one end of the send largest pool. It was such a great location as we could have a swim then return to our terrace to relax or use one of the many sunbeds by the pool. Overall, this was a great find and I would wholeheartedly recommend this resort and would definitely return.

Not quite what we expected
When we arrived it was very late and the staff had left us water and a cold meal. The room was nice, but boiling as there was no air-conditioning. We hired a fan the next day, but the room was still too hot on a night and it would have been nice, if the fan had been included. The toliet was broken when we arrived and we weren't able to flush it. This was promptly fixed after it was reported. Whilst we understand that cockroaches are common in Canaries because of the climate, the number in the resort was unreasonable. They were in the rooms and my partner saw one in the dinning hall on the food. They did spray to get rid of them, but this just meant that they were all around the pool dying one morning. It didn't seem to make much difference. There was no entertainment in the part of the resort where we were, we had to go further down to the main resort on an evening. The entertainment wasn't in English, but speaking Spanish this didn't bother us. It wasn't very good, but you could see that the team were trying. Bingo was in German as the majority of guests are German.

a tale of two stories
outstanding bungalow . spotless, not a speak of dust or hair to be found very well equipped kitchen , comfy bed , absolutely perfect accommodation, choice of pools is great , fun main pool to the others which are quite and relaxing , nice setting well maintained complex . great location to. such a shame that the restaurant is a big let down , good food ruined by the chefs , huge food poisoning risk by chef using same tongs to handle raw meet then serving cooked meat with the same tongs , a big no no. in the united kingdom restaurants would be shut down using this system , hence never eat there again despite complaining twice.

Very nice for a beach holiday
Hotel itself was very nice. Helpful reception staff (incl good car hire for service), but not as much English as in some places (more German and Spanish!). Lovely garden grounds. Decent size apartments which were in good condition. Food was really quite good too with lots of variety on main courses. Only downside was no air conditioning. Location is 15-20 mins from the beach (and there are bar/restaurants etc near there). But nothing else within comfortable walking distance around it, except one (pricey) mini-supermarket and a restaurant/bar. Overall we had a fantastic holiday there.

Dunas Maspalonas was a resort for families, mainly Scandanavian. The complex was of a poor standard. The food was simple and fresh, although the dining experience was one of an unsupervised school canteen, with children running around and touching food on the buffet. This is not the place to take your holidays if you have expectations of a reasonable standard of service. We left the complex each morning and felt that we could not return until the evening so that we did not have to put up with the noise from bars and children.

Härligt med bungalow även om de är lite gamla. Hittade dessvärre en kackerlacka på rummet men i övrigt var det väldigt rent. Maten var god. Ganska hög ljudnivå vid poolen och i restaurangen, en del tar dessvärre med bäbisar till Kanarieöarna. Överlag är det prisvärt tack vare bungalowen och att slippa vanliga hotellrum!

Very nice bungalows for families - but poor food
Very nice bungalows. Clean and comfortable. Nice heated pool. Nice area and easy to find. The food though is terrible all times meals. Too overcooked and well done meat/fish/chicken with no taste left in the ingrediens. Even soup or different sauces tasted like cooked water. The staff did not seem vary happy to work there - even though they are able to help and did solve some problems I had. They could be more smiling but didn´t seem to like their job. The wifi was great in the houses but less good at restaurant and by the pool. I would consider going back but that would be without any food included :-). I loved the sorroundings and the facilities (except for the gym which had only few machines).

Fina bungalows för oss som vill ha eget boende till rimligt pris. Mat och städning är bra. Bra bemötande. Egentligen bara fyra klagomål: svårt ställa in värmen på duschen, helt plötsligt så blir det skållhett så man gör en liten justering varpå det blir iskallt. Dålig WiFi. Ofta var vattentanken tom för all-inclusive. För hög ljudnivå vid swimming poolen. Inget som skulle hindra mig att återvända dock.

Hotel gdzie spędzisz udane wakacje
Bardzo miła obsługa. Szybkie zameldowanie. Bungalowy choć trochę stare to bardzo przyjemne i czyste. Otoczenie bardzo ładnie zagospodarowane, piękna roślinność. Przy dużym obłożeniu gości w weekend baseny mocno obłożone jak i restauracja. Po weekendzie dużo wolnych leżaków i w restauracji nie ma problemów ze stolikiem. Jedzenie bardzo dobre. Każdy znajdzie coś dla siebie. Bardzo dobre ryby i owoce morza. Kawa z expresu bardzo dobra - szczególnie przy barze basenowym - czuć moc kawy! Obsługa restauracji rewelacyjna - przyjazna i uprzejma. Blisko hotelu można bez problemu zaparkować auto. Dojście do plaży deptakiem ok. 20 minut. Naprawdę polecam ten hotel i podziękowania dla Pana kelnera, który serwował nam do stolika butekowane winko.

Cuando llegsmos al hotel nos enteramos w estsba cerrado y teniamos un traslado. El cualxno reunía las condiciones de la reserva q habíamos hecho. Nos pusieron en habitaciones separadas y íbamos con dos niñas.No nos dieron ningua solución por teléfono, por lo q tuvimos q dividirnos. Lo cual ocasionó que no disfrutaramos de la estancia como hubiésemos querido.

Flott anlegg og fint område. God plass ved bassenget i mars, men kan nok bli trangt ved høysesong. Ca 20 min rolig gange til strand og shopping. Maten var bra, men en del støy i restauranten. Hyggelig og behjelpelig personale, men servicen i restauranten var minimum. Helt ok snackbar utenfor restauranten. Rommene var fine, spør om ekstra madrass. Hadde et supert opphold, men ikke forvent luksusfølelse.

Heerlijk verblijf gehad
Was een fijn complex. Huisje was ruim en voldoende. Eten was gevarieerd. Na een week all inclusief zie je wel veel van hetzelfde. Maar vooral vd grill plaat was heerlijk. Genoeg keuze en ook bij het zwembad was er genoeg te eten. Drinken ook veel keuze ook flesjes water enzo in overvloed. Mini disco superleuk gedaan animatie deed toch veel dingen. Ook superfijn dat we vroeg konden ontbijten op dag van vertrek mogelijk vanaf vijf uur ideaal. Willen zeker nog een keer terug.

Bungalows-Anlage in einen schönen Park
Wir waren das zweite Mal in der Hotelanlage - Dunas Suites & Villas (2014) und Dunas Maspalomas Resort (2018). Wir haben uns wieder super wohl gefühlt und werden bestimmt demnächst wiederkommen. Die Hotelanlage liegt in einem schön aufgebauten subtropischen Park. Die Bungalows sind entsprechend ausgestattet, wir hatten All-In und haben somit die Küchenzeile kaum genutzt. Unsere Kinder haben das Animationsteam samt Duni und Dunita geliebt. Die Minidisco und das Unterhaltungsprogramm waren echt super. (Tipp: Neben spanisch und englisch wäre deutsch sehr vorteilhaft, da unsere Kinder vieles nicht verstanden haben.) Das Personal im Hotel war sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit. Z.B. funktionierte unser Tresor bei unserer Ankunft (nach 18:00) nicht. Hier wurde sofort ein Techniker zu uns geschickt der das Problem behoben hat. Die Reinigungskräfte haben ordentlich gearbeitet und die Kuscheltierchen unserer Kinder immer wieder in neue Anordnungen auf dem Bett verteilt. :-) Das Servicepersonal im Restaurant, in der Disco und an der Poolbar waren superfreundlich. Folgendes könnte man verbessern: - Getränke am Pool in Plastikbechern finde ich ok, aber abends an der Bar könnte man generell auf Glas umschwenken - die Säfte im Restaurant verdienen leider das Wort Saft nicht. Hier sind richtige Säfte bei 4 Sternen echt wünschenswert - wir hatten keine Kakerlaken im Bungalow, aber unsere Reisebegleitung hatte etwas weniger Glück. Hier besteht Nachbesserungsbedarf.

Haben Kurzurlaub für 4 Tage mit 2 Kindern gemacht. Animation war nett und freundlich. Tennisplatz gegen Bezahlung war schade. Gut für Kurzurlaub.

Estuvimos muy bien durante nuestra estancia. Fuimos con 2 niños y lo pasaron estupendamente. El sitio es muy bonito, y el personal del hotel muy amable y dispuesto a ayudar y facilitar las cosas. En cuanto a la comida, bastante bien para ser un todo incluido. La única pega es que la animación principal era en francés y para huéspedes franceses, que eran muchos los que allí había; y, aunque no prohibían participar, al no entender nada y no traducirlo, no podíamos disfrutarlo.

Bra boende men stökig pool o långt till strand.
Bra boende i bungalow med fungerande AC efter påpekande i receptionen. Dock var det en himla volym på musiken vid poolen och lekar, volleyboll, vattengympa hela tiden så det var ingen avslappnande poolvistelse, och solstolarna stod tätt tätt. Bokade man inte stol med handduk före 9:30 så var det svårt att få plats. All Inclusive var ordinär med några höjdpunkter. det tog 20 min att gå till stranden vilket kändes långt i värmen så det blev mest poolbad. Det finns ett par mindre pooler på området och där var det lugnare och mer plats. Inget ställe vi åker tillbaka till. Vi var veckan innan på Marina Plaza i Puerto Rico, där var det betydligt bättre även om bokning av stolar var nödvändigt även där.

Vi hadde et hyggelig opphold med mye god og sund mat til måltidene som dessuten var meget varierende (buffet) fra kveld til kveld. Stedet er tydeligvis meget godt egnet for barnefamilier da det vrimlet av småbarn rundt poolene og til frokost. En ulempe merket vi de siste dagene da det flyttet inn en barnefamilie i naboleiligheten: det viste seg å være ganske lytt mellom baderommene i bungalowene vi bodde i.

Sin Wifi, sin aire acondicionado y bastante basico
Estuve eligiendo hoteles en Expedia, mirando sobre todo si había Wifi en el hotel, media pension y aparcamiento. Aparcamiento hay en la calle, pero teniendo en cuenta que era temporada baja ya habia poco, pues no sé que pasará en verano si ya faltaba. La media pension era basico, algunas noches muy buenas o otras bastante decepcionantes. Cartelitos de los platos que ofrecían estaban equivocados. Precios muy altos para las bebidas, 3 euros para un vaso de vino malo.. Mi mayor queja es el asunto del WIFI. Me traje el ordenador de vacaciones,por cuestion de trabajo necesito conectar. Habia una oferta de 18 euros a la semana que me pareció razonable. Pagamos y nos dieron el password. No pudimos conectar asi que llamé a la recepción. No podian explicar el porqué y me preguntaron de ir a la recepcion. Fue mi marido, Ahi todo se conectó asi que devuelta al apartamento. Ahi nada... Pues fui yo...y despues de insistir, se le ocurrió a la recpcionista de preguntar por mi numero de habitacion y resulta que "ahi tan lejos no llega el wifi" Me devolvieron el dinero, pero eso no es un servicio...necesitaba el wifi y eso pues no está bien. No lo pongas o pon un aviso. Los Bungalows son basicos, tampoco esperaba mas, como no hay rejas, no se puede dejar nada abierto y con el calor que hace, pues era insoportable. Necesita aire acondicionado desde luego. Tambien encontramos todos los dias pequeñas cucarachas. Vienen del jardin o del patio, pero no es agradable.

Angenehm ruhiges Hotel trotz der Nähe der Häuschen
Der Strand von Maspalomas und die tollen Dünen sind mit einem kleinen aber landschaftlich ansprechendem Spaziergang zu erreichen. Insg. ist Maspalomas um Klassen angenehmer als Playa Ingles oder Puerto Rico.

Gelungener Urlaub
Wir haben uns für das Dunas entschieden, da die Anlage nicht bunkerhaft wirkte und auch ganz gut bewertet war. Unser Eindruck ist zweischneidig: Die Anlage ist schön und gut gepflegt - flache Bungalows, mehrere Pools, viel Grün. Teils lange Wege. Der Bungalow hatte alles, was man braucht: kleine Küche, Bad, Schlafbereich und Wohnbereich, alles gut in Schuss. Die Servicequalität war sehr unterschiedlich. Wir hatten anfangs Kinderkrankheiten - Kaffeemaschine defekt, Fön entpuppte sich als Flammenwerfer. Nach kurzer Rückfrage an der Rezeption alles gelöst. Service beim Abendessen - naja. Wenn der Gast nach 10 min entnervt aufsteht und sich einen Kellner sucht, um endlich ein Wasser zu bekommen, läuft irgendwas falsch. Das Essen an sich war OK, wenn auch nicht herausragend. Deutliche Unterschiede in der Qualität zwischen dem Restaurant im Bungalows Dunas Maspalomas und dem im Suites Dunas Maspalomas zu spüren. In letzterem waren wir mehrfach essen - was auch zum Frühstück offenbar kein Problem darstellt, abends aber jedes Mal zu einer Aufruhr führt. Grund: Gäste aus dem Bungalows Dunas zahlen, wenn sie dort essen wollen, pro Person einen geringen Betrag dazu. Das war uns bewusst und ist auch OK – wenn man es denn handhaben könnte. Kann man dort aber nicht – zumindest nicht in einer für den Gast angenehmen Form. Alles in allem waren wir zufrieden. Für Ausflüge auf der Insel ist das Hotel gut gelegen, Mietwagen ist unserer Meinung nach empfehlenswert.
