WiFI was not very good. We upgraded to superior room where the you got air conditioning and free wifi anywhere in hotel. When it did work it was so slow.

Lovely apartment with beautiful seaviews
We had a great stay at Apartments Maracaibo. The staff were very friendly, efficient and helpful. The apartment itself was extremely clean and spacious. We stayed in a superior studio 1 bedroom apartment which I would recommend as air con and Wi-Fi are included in the cost of the apartment, we also had an amazing view of the marina and beach. In the apartment there was a nice little kitchenette and lounge area aswell as a lovely balcony area. The apartment was cleaned everyday apart from Sunday. The pool area was very good with an ample supply of sunbeds. Food at the pool bar was also very nice. There was a mini market less then a minutes walk from the main entrance. The beach and marina were also about a 5 minute walk from the hotel.

Decent hotel great location
Basic apartment hotel. But in a great location with a short cut to the beach. Good to have a bar and restaurant onsite. Supermarket literally 30 seconds away. Air conditioning is extra but is the best hotel AC I've come across.

Good location,very clean rooms, water aerobics are great short walk to beach and main shopping centre plus they have a 24 hour reception,really enjoyed my stay here.

3 Days at Maracaibo
Loud music outside from the pool and the rooms were very bare. The extra costs were not great either. The parking can be a little challenging as well.

Good Hotel and Location
We stayed at the Maracaibo 15-29 Sept 2015. We had 2 Superior Rooms which included A Sea View, Air Conditioning (God send because it was hot hot hot) and free WiFi which was also a god send for my 2 teenage sons. Rooms were great size, very good mattresses, nice furniture in lounge area and balcony. There was a fridge and hob facility, kettle and toaster, hairdryer in bathroom. There was a maid service every day except a Sunday (you can go to reception for fresh towels on that day). The pool was a good size sun loungers with cushions. My sons did love the pool. Restaurant was good although we didn't eat there at night we did have breakfast and lunches there staff very nice. The hotel is in a very good location short walk to both the beach and the "Shopping Centre". All in all we really enjoyed our 2 week stay at the Maracaibo and would go back again.

Great location with Supermarket right across the road, walking distance to the beach, restaurants and nightlife. Very clean hotel with room service everyday in which the room is left spotless, have to pay extra for WiFi and Air Conditioning but they are essential!!, definitely one of the better hotels in Puerto Rico and I would 100% stay here again if returning to the island!.

Had a lovely time at the hotel, couldn't have asked for better. Amazing view, close to the beach with just a 5 minute walk. The room was big and spacious with the most amazing, huge comfy bed. The pool was great as was the bar and food, Debbie from the bar was lovely and made it a pleasure each day.

Simple but complete
Overall, pretty good simple self-catering hotel. We had a basic room, it had all the necessities but was basic. Wifi / air con were extra. We paid for wifi, each person you pay for can then connect via any device but only one at a time. Also it was quite slow so not great for tech obsessives. The "shop" in reception is basically sunscreen and beer, but there's a great supermarket opposite reception that has most things. Cleaning - maid came via ritually every day 5-6/7 days we were there, great job, but shower gels weren't restocked once we ran out. With liquid restriction at airports, this is something that would have been great. Restaurant/bar area by the pool, good for sandwiches at lunch and nice smoothies to cool off with, but all slightly overpriced. We didn't eat there in the evening, there seemed to be scheduled entertainment but never many people there. Not much to do in Puerto Rico itself, but palmitos park is only 40mins on the 70bus, great dolphin show & experience worth checking out. Loads of restaurants BUT all serve same, "English" food, very meat based. Had trouble finding vegetarian options but all willing to make something off-menu special.

The rooms were very dark and the bathrooms looked dated. The pool was closed off for 3 days And was full of bits and flys when open. Not very nice food as most was undercooked.

Good location for beach and centre
What I liked most about this hotel was its location. The main entrance/reception appears quite a walk from the beach and centre, but as it is on the top floor, and you can enter and exit through the swimming pool area on the bottom floor, the walk is very easy to do. It's about 10 minutes walk, maybe less to the beach, and about the same to the main shopping area and restaurants. The room itself was fine. Beds were comfortable enough, shower was good and kitchen area was fine for what we needed it for. Air conditioning was included with the room type we had, but I think you have to pay for it if you book a standard room. Only real negative for me was that the pool area was quite small, so on most days it was too crowded to make me want to sit around it, so we went to the beach instead.

Perfect retreat
Absolutely loved my stay here. After a long flight and journey from the airport this was a very welcoming place to stay. I entered my room and was immediately engulfed in the cool peaceful ambiance. The room was perfectly laid out with comfortable furnishings and well equipped with everything that I needed. The bed in particular was superb and gave an excellent nights sleep. I also loved the totally private balcony which had lovely views over the bay. So restful. The hotel itself is well laid out and nestled into the hillside with all the hotel amenities only a short walk or lift ride away. The pool area, although compact, is relatively secluded with a delightful poolside bar and comfy sun terrace. I enjoyed my early morning coffee here in these peaceful surroundings. If you prefer - you can order a good value breakfast (or lunch) which will be cooked to order in the open air kitchen. The aroma is so appetizing!! Beach and town are equidistant from the hotel. For the beach, go down the lift, past the pool and take a short walk down the road and then a short set of steps to the beach and marina. Alternatively continue along the road onto the coastal walkway to Amadores beach, ten minutes along the coast. The sand here is beautiful and with plenty of beach bars and cafes. For the town, exit the hotel at reception on the top floor and walk down the quieter road into the main town past the bus station. I cannot fault the layout, amenities or location of this hotel.

Disappointing
The hotel is not what we expected based on other reviews. The room was compact with a large pillar breaking-up the studio space that obscured the view whilst in the room and the view was blocked completely when seated at the balcony - due to poor design. The kitchen and bathroom areas were basic but adequate. The staff were very helpful and remedied a mix-up with rooms on our arrival but the pool area is all over the place. They are currently adding a sauna, and hot tub so everything was dusty and areas were closed-off. The pool has seen better days and the hotel it self needs a complete facelift. The hotel has quite good access to the beach and the large double bed in our studio room was lovely with fresh cotton sheets. Although we don't really care about a tv whilst on holiday, it was located on the same wall as the headboard making it impossible to watch while in bed.

The Maracaibo Aparthotel - reasonable & realistic
A very welcoming family run aparthotel, it was ideal for us. As Anfi owners because of flight arrangements we required a bed for one night. We have already recommended the Maracaibo to other Anfi owners for future reference. Reliable and relaxing at reasonable realistic rates.

Kjempebra plass med kort veg til det meste , Strand , butikker , restauranter . Matvarebutikk rett over gata. Rent og fint og flott basseng . Spesielt hyggelig og hjelpsomt personale . Godt med parkering. Det som trekker noe ned er støy fra veien foran balkongene og at det er lite mulighet for soling på balkongene .

Vi bestilte delux leilighet i øverste etage. Positivt fornøyd ved ankomst, ganske slitt kjøkken men helt ok. Litt overrasket over 1 cm glipp midt i parketten på tvers i «stuen». Når vi hadde vært der en dag begynte vi å se mye feil, rusk på midt på gulvet, merket meg hvor det var, det var der fortsatt når vi reiste etter en uke. De vasket ikke gulvet på en uke, kun det synlige tok de som håndklær og redde opp sengen. Vi fant løs negl midt i sofaen første dag, da løftet jeg på puten og så masse rask. Dorullholderen på badet var ødelagt, rullene stod oppå do bak oss. En slik billig enkel ting burde vært fikset, det sier litt om hvor mye de brydde seg. Generelt fikk jeg en skitten ubehagelig følelse da små kryp pilte over gulvet og gjemte seg i listene når lyset kom på. Deretter var lyset på til oss. Veldig fint uteområde, rent og pent der, de vasket i uteområdet mye. Kjekt med snarvei til stranden via utgang på nedsiden foran hotellet. Resepsjonen hadde en koslig mann og resten var sliten eller sur. Generelt mutte ansatte. Til sist: wifi var innbakt i prisen til oss. Ikke kjøp wifi, vi fikk ikke lastet en side uten å vente minutter (hvis vi var heldige) Vi kommer ikke tilbake.

Positivt: Nært strand og sentrum pga snarvei. Hyggelig personalet. Fint å ha bar og restaurant på hotellet. Billigere å kjøpe frokost på hotellet for hele oppholdet enn å kjøpe hver dag. God mat. Negativt: Vi trodde vi fikk aircondition, men da måtte vi betalt for det. Skulle gjerne vært gratis Internett. Toalettene var dårligere. Det var svært vanskelig å trekke ned så ting i do ble liggende.. Vi kunne ikke trekke ned dopapir i toalettet.

Construction work..
Just ok. - There was construction work during our stay. Even in the rooms beside us. - The furniture was uncomfortable. - WIFI didn`t work that well - The TV was soooo tiny. However, the service was good. Nice staff and nice bar. They also had a 24 hours open (mini) supermarket in the hotel. It was also easy to book a car. They delivered to our hotel.

Que el hotel está bien ubicado con entrada por planta 5, calle donde aparcamos, y otro acceso peatonal por planta 0 donde se ubica la piscina y el bar. Tiene recepción las 24 horas y una microtienda con productos muy básicos. Nos dieron la habitación 318 con vistas al puerto y playa de Puerto Rico desde la terraza. El aire acondicionado tenía un cargo adicional de 6 €/noche. No lo contratamos y padecimos el ruido del aire acondicionado de habitaciones contiguas. La segunda noche vimos que la limpieza se había dejado papeles en en suelo de la habitación sin recoger. La considero excesivamente superficial e incompleta. La cocina es minúscula y en el minifrigo no cabe una botella de agua de litro y medio de pie. La ducha está muy bien.

Rommene var helt ok i forhold til pris. Alt for liten TV med dårlig utvalg av kanaler. Ikke mulig å leie film. Kjøkkenet hadde ikke oppvaskmaskin. Og det tok noen dager før dette ble rengjort. Aircondition og WIFI måtte leies i tillegg. Airconditionen bråkte noe, det var en varmepumpe. Internettlinjen var dårlig. Hyggelig betjening og hotellet ligger i et rolig område med skygge på kvelden etter en dag i sola. Alt i alt 3 stjerner på dette hotellet.

Vi ble tildelt et rom på bakkenivå som lå rett ved "inngangen " til hotellet. Dette medførte mye støy da gjestene passerte her på vei inn/ut og det i tillegg var papirtynne vegger. Det var også uønskede husdyr i form av maur og annet kryp. Vi fikk også tildelt to felt senger å sove på, til tross for at vi bestilte rom med king size bed. Forsøkte bytte rom, men det var umulig siden det var fullt. Sett bort ifra dette var betjening/personal veldig blide og hyggelige. Uteområdet var også veldig fint og rent.

Anbefalelsesverdig. En dag med dårlig renhold som ble rettet opp. Dårlig erfaring med poolrestaurant , dårlig service som gjorde at vi ikke brukte det - synd for området er meget tiltalende, det betydde ikke all verden da vi er strand-, og ikke pool-menesker. Vennlig og hjelpsomt personale. Deilig med aircondition.

Struttura in buona posizione, vista mare.
Camera 218 vista mare ma vicina alla strada con conseguente rumore di traffico. Una parte della vetrata non chiudeva bene e non si apriva se non con grande forza. Il climatizzatore a pagamento € 6 al giorno, non raffreddava, evidente mancanza di gas, le alette per orientare l'aria non funzionavano, stavano completamente abbassate. La grata del riciclo d'aria del bagno cieco è visibilmente otturata da polvere e lana.
