“Good for the money but don't expect much sleep until 3AM”
We chose this hotel as we were on a tight budget and it was the cheapest available. For the money, we could not fault the hotel itself. The room was clean and had everything we needed. The staff were friendly and all four pools and surrounding areas were spotless. The location in itself was not a problem, we walked to the Yumbo centre in about 25 minutes and the Kasbah in only 10. There was a small supermarket within 5 minutes and the beach was 10 minutes walk away, although down some steep steps which may prove difficult for wheelchair or pushchair users. Our only problem was the fact that the hotel was directly opposite a number of very noisy bars. the karaoke started at around 9.30pm and the music did not stop until around 3am. Luckily we were either getting ready to go out or had gone out and it was not too much of a problem. If you had small children and wanted to be bed before midnight - forget it! We also had to run a nightly gauntlet to escape the very pushy nightclub and restaurant touts. Most were satisfied by a polite "Non gracias" but one was particularly aggressive and even grabbed us by the arm to try to get us into the loudest bar. Although this inconvenience was under no way the fault of the hotel, it would make us at least question whether we would stay there again. On balance, however, i would recommend to others providing they were not easily intimidated and did not intend to go to bed early.
“Hotel exceed expectations”
Judging by some reports on Trip Advisor the standard of the hotel was poor however for the price is represented excellent value, whilst not luxurious was very clean the maid service was exemplary. The downside was we were located on the street side facing bars and a club which played music loudly VERY LOUDLY until the early hours however still managed to sleep. If at all possible try for inward facing rooms overlooking the pools The area was brash but there were some good bars and restaurants so all in all a reasonable location a good holiday. PS For those parking its not clear how you reach this you are obliged to go through a no entry sign onto a pedestrianised area and there is parking at the front of the hotel one downside is you have to unchain a lock each time you move your car as the automatic sliding gate wasn’t functional.

OK value for money. Daily maid service was nice. Apartment was utilitarian. Rather annoying to have to pay for TV service by the hour.
“für den Preis vollkommen in Ordnung”
Als wir im Hotel ankamen hatte man gleich mal eine schlechte und eine gute Nachricht für uns... wir mussten die ersten zwei Tage in's Nachbarhotel einziehen, den Grund dafür nannte man uns nicht, dafür hatten wir aber drei Tage "all inklusive" bekommen, was sich bei einer Urlaubskasse, von der man sich eigentlich die Verpflegung organisieren muss, recht positiv auswirkt. Das Essen an sich hätten wir ohne dies nicht bewerten können, nun aber doch... Es ist einfach und mit wenigen Worten erklärt: Nicht all zu große Auswahl, nicht wirklich lecker und eigentlich fast kalt, auch die warmen Speisen!!! Ansonsten war es in Hotel und Apartment ordentlich und zumindest oberflächlich sauber, wenn man nicht unbedingt in die versteckten Ecken schaut... Alles in Allem war es aber für den geringen Preis vollkommen in Ordnung...

Seul point faible : nettoyage approximatif du sol . Pour le reste RAS . Je n'avais que l'appartement . Pas de demi-pension .
“Ohne hohen Anspruch gutes Urlaubsziel”
Das Hotel liegt in einer Nebenstraße in der es einge Pubs gibt. Gäste denen der Trubel zu groß sein sollte, sollten darauf achten das sie ein rückwärtiges Zimmer erhalten. Das Apartment hätte besser Instandgehalten werden können, aber dennoch ok. Würde es als gehobene Jugendherbergs Unterkunft bezeichnen. Fernsehen leider nur gegen Gebühr. Die Pools wurden jeden morgen gereinigt. Wenn der Calimara wehnte sogar alle 30min. Über das Essen kann ich leider nichts sagen, da wir Eigenverpflegung hatten. Hab mir allerdings vor Ort sagen lassen, das es nicht ganz so toll gewesen sein soll. Das Zimmer wurde jeden Tag von Room-Service aufgesucht. Es wurde abgespült, Betten neu bezogen, Bad gereinigt und gewischt. Menschen den 100% Sauberkeit wichtig ist, sollten das Hotel nicht aufsuchen, da es in einigen Ecken dann doch zu wünschen übrig läßt. Die Grundlegenden Stellen war aber völlig ok und das hat uns völlig gereicht. Ungeziefer haben wir nicht gesehen. Ich gebe allerdings zu bedenken, das Kakalaken auf Gran Canaria üblich sein können und niemand so richtig etwas gegen die Ficher tun kann. Der Service am Empfang war recht unterschiedlich. Einige waren der englischen Sprache nicht so gut bemächtigt oder gaben leider für Trips oder Busverbindungen nur einen Teil der wichtigen Information raus. Ansonsten war das Personal recht freundlich. Familien mit Kindern haben hier wirklich ihren Spaß.
