Easy access from the station. Friendly staff at front desk. Nothing much is around the hotel. Bed was too hard for me.

Route Inn is an excellent brand. This was the second one we stayed in. Extremely clean and comfortable. Friendly and helpful staff. They stored our luggage while we climbed Mt. Fuji. I loved the hot springs bath on site. Laundry machines worked great. Breakfast had plenty of offerings. Easy walking distance to Gotemba Station and free bus to the Outlet Malls. Would definitely recommend and would gladly stay here again.

We were so glad to have booked our stay at the Hotel Route-Inn Gotenba Ekiminami. We came in by train and it was an easy walk down to the hotel from the station, a few blocks. This was a great base to climb Mt Fuji - I took a taxi from the hotel to the Subashiri trailhead (or the Gotemba trailhead would work), then took the trailhead bus right back to Gotemba Railraod station for an easy walk home. There are several good restaurants in the area (we recommend Horaana Pizza!) but if you are tired there is a 7-11 in between the station and the hotel that has EVERYTHING you need including drinks, beer, wine, and many wonderful meals that are easy to heat in the hotel microwave. The restaurant offers a full traditional Japanese breakfast. The beds were firm and the room was a bit small, but this is common for Japan. It was truly one of the cleanest rooms and bathroom that I have every stayed in. We had some complicated questions and the Route-Inn staff was incredibly courteous and helpful to us. The outlet mall has a free bus and it was a fun way to rest after climbing the mountain.

Hiked mt fuji and this property does the trick. If you are taking the train into Fuji and you get off the train/bus and want to get to a hotel ASAP book this place. It’s less than 100 meters from the station that takes you to Fuji/Tokyo. Hotel itself was all right, needs some upgrades for sure but regardless the hospitality is great.

The hotel is not too far from the train station, and is therefore convenient. The staffs are not good at speaking English but are nice to try help out.

It was a very comfortable stay, where the hotel stuff very gladly helped to store my luggage overnight whilst I climbed Mount Fuji on the Subashiri trail. I would highly recommend this hotel.

Great View of Mt Fuji
Staff are pretty helpful. This hotel is ok if you do not have to spend the whole day there. Bed is comfortable but the best part of the hotel is the fantastic view of Mt Fuji. Only single & double bed rooms have view of Mt Fuji. The free breakfast has a lot of varieties - I enjoyed it.

We enjoyed the free spa each night during our stay. Parking on site is a bit tight and one night I had to park else where. Luckily later that night an empty parking space became available and I moved the car back in. Otherwise, I would not be able to sleep tight that night.

Great value and view
Value for money business hotel of Japan. Small room but it offer everything. Great view of Mount Fuji. It also provides a small onsen for free. Breakfast was good. Near Gotenba premium outlet & food.

Best view of Mt. Fuji
The best veiw of Mount Fuji is from this hotel. This hotel is very close to the JR Station. The room is small and comfortable and suitable for one person. Or two people with no luggage.

Nice hotel near the station with onsen
The hotel is walking distance from the train and bus station. It is on the same side as the bus stop to Grinpa amusement park. There is 7/11 on the way from train station to the hotel. The onsen is an extra too for more like business hotel. Breakfast was good mix of food.

I have stayed in numerous 3 star budget hotels in Japan and I think this is the worst hotel. The room is super small about the size of one regular parking space. Facilities in the room are old and poorly maintained. It is also a long walk from the JR Gotemba station. Check out time is 10 am and there will be added charge for extension. Staff can barely understand English and not tourist oriented since the hotel caters more to local travellers. I should have booked the hotel right in front of the JR station instead.

It was so so.
It is located near the Gotemba station, about 5-8mins walk. I booked wrongly and was allocated a smoking room which is quite tormenting because the smell was so strong that I had a hard time falling asleep. So never make the same mistake like I did if you are a non-smoker. Breakfast choices were very limited, skip it if you can. And ask for a room facing Mt Fuji, it will be worth it!

Nice hotel close to Gotemba station
Great view of Mt. Fuji from the hotel and within walking distance of the Gotemba train station. Really pleased with the public bath (onsen) on site, too. Only downside was that it was right next to the train tracks, but they never blow their horns, so I was never woken up by them (just heard the occasional train rolling through).

We stayed here to go skiing/snowboarding at Yeti Town on Mt.Fuji. Close to the train and bus stations. In walking distance of restaurants too. Hotel staff was friendly and helpful. Room was clean and great view of Mt.Fuji from the bedroom window.

Staff was extremly inflexible to guests' needs
Location was within walking distance to the train station. Was travelling with a child and had problems with the hotel's rigid check-in policy. Staff was unable to understand much English and was extremely inflexible in meeting guests' needs. Wasted over an hour in trying to explain ourselves - especially when we are checking in late at night (and checking out early the next morning).

Good location - within 10 minutes walk from Gotemba train station, and 15 minutes free regular shuttle to Gotemba Premium Outlets. But hotel room was small, and bed was hard.
