Older motel appearance

Stayed two nights . No room clean up provided. Not much of a continental breakfast. Feel a three star rating is more than enough .

No Front Desk

Posted 05-Apr-2015
We advised them that we would be arriving late around 10:30pm. Front desk was closed so we buzzed this system. She told us our room number and our key was under the mat!!! Really! I asked what time they were opened in the morning and she said 10:00 am! I asked her how I would get my receipt and that too was under the mat! I just found it all weird. But we were so tired we just went to sleep with the double lock. The room was very clean but also very cold when we arrived.

Location was close to the highway

Posted 23-Feb-2015
I booked the room on line thinking it would be as the reviews stated. NEVER AGAIN will I book a room at Super 8 .The room was absolutely unbelievable. I demanded my money back and stayed at the Ramada across the street .

Noisy and poor bedding

Posted 28-Dec-2014
Pros: Only thing good was that there was a room available.
Cons: Pillows, blankets, maybe some apples, yogurt and/or hard boiled eggs?
Lots of noise from rooms on both sides of ours plus endless stomping from the room above. Blanket that was so think it was almost transparent. Pillows with those lumpy little foam pieces inside. Breakfast of toast and jam only. For the $110 that we paid this was unacceptable.

Mixed feelings

Posted 29-Jul-2014
Pros: friendly staff, clean linens Cons: walls need cleaning and fresh paint, smoke alarm falling off ceiling, shower barely functional, curtains barely on wall, really disappointed in the facilities over all. Without a Reno to this place I could not recommend this place.

Convenient hotel for overnight stay

Posted 26-Jul-2014
Pros: It's convenience.
Cons: Not much.
Location: There is much to do but we were only passing through.
Fortunately we had made a reservation as Golden was crowded with travelers. Our hotel was conveniently located as there was and ABC Restaurant right next door. Breakfast as usual was provided.

Ok for budget accommodation

Posted 20-Jul-2014
We booked this as it was within our budget. When we pulled up to check in it looked like it had shut down, no life at all. Checked in and the staff were very friendly. Room was average condition although had everything you needed. Coffee machine was dirty but everything else was reasonably clean. Walls were thin so heard people outside during the night and also the pipes were extremely noisy on the other rooms showers. Could also hear footsteps from above. Breakfast was basic, only brown bread and no tea. Overall was fine for one night but I would probably not stay again.

Golden trip.

Posted 30-Mar-2014
Pros: Staff was excellent.
Cons: The breakfast left a lot to be desired, which is why we chose a different hotel upon our return. I also did not like the hot tub in lobby.
Location: Location was excellent, right as soon as you enter Golden.
Pretty nice hotel, a lot newer-looking than it actually is!!

A quick quiet stop

Posted 16-Mar-2014
Easy access from the highway, but quiet at night. Close to restaurants.
