Great week for family of four!

Dona Sylvia is a brilliant choice for families with children. Very nice property with a big swimming pool, nice indoor activities and access to a beautiful beach. The staff are absolutely great. Ideal location too with access to boat trips, water sports, local shopping and food joints.

Pleasant and enjoyable stay in Goa

Posted 05-Jan-2015 on Hotels
Dona Sylvia is a beautiful property and captures the essence of Goa pretty well. Ideally suited for a leisurely stay. It has good access to the nearby beach which has plentiful shacks and lounging chairs. The pool is expansive with facility to host water polo, pool basketball etc, and has a good separate area for kids. The breakfast setting is very inviting and indulges you. The rooms are tucked away in separate cottages providing enough privacy and also a far cry from multi-storey concrete jungle type hotels - a good thing when you want to holiday in Goa.

Nice, Peace

Posted 01-Jan-2015
Pros: Staff was pleasant
Cons: Small microwave added if possible for room
Location: The airport is quite a drive into the resort area so be prepared for at least an hour or so. The village people are very supportive if you shop
Upon arrival the staff was very inviting to my son and I. We were greeted immediately, and check in was quick. This is a very nice and peaceful resort and you do not need to really leave the premises to gather anything. One note though is the beach is private for the Dona occupants, but staff fails to tell newcomers that if you wish to relax on the beach in the lounge chairs you have to pay the beach shack owners a small fee collected by them or buy food then the lounge beds are free. So bring some money to the beach if you plan on tanning, relaxing, or whatever you fancy. Other than this, it is a nice set up. I will most likely return next season

Nice beachside resort

Posted 30-Dec-2014
We have stayed dec24-dec28 and stay was nice. Very close to beach and resort was really good. Because of more foreigners, they are giving less importance to Indians. They need to give more importance to Indians also(in restaurant, reception, room service, swimming pool area etc,..).

Just OK

Posted 17-Oct-2014
Pros: Pool,Beach
Cons: Bar service was poor.
Location: The two restaurants across the road were very good.
Arrival forms were a nuisance, very long winded! Room had a slight musty odour due to new season. Maintenance being carried out everywhere due new season starting. Staff were OK, but very slow in their service although polite and pleasant. No pool service. Taxi's outside the resort are a complete rip off. Unionised. Cost 2.5 times the fares you would expect!!! Had massive issues trying to connect to the bank to pay with credit card on check out, took 45 mins and they had to charge in £'s to get the transaction to work. Wont be returning here mainly due to the RIP OFF TAXIS.

Quaint and Serene Resort with excellent Facilities

Posted 07-Oct-2014
Wonderful Property.... Very Very Very Close to the Cavelossim beach.... Beach is as good as a private beach with Water Sports and other Activities at a stone throw distance....Strongly recommended for someone wanting a clean break from the usual hustle bustle.... ... Mind you though South Goa is more for those looking for Clean Beaches and a Quiet Getaway.... (As Against Crowded beaches,Shacks and Shopping/Night Life)...Connected internally to TITOs club at Radisson.... Good Food and Good Rooms.... Wonderful for the Price.....

Stay at Dona Sylvia from 1st to 3rd October 2014

Posted 06-Oct-2014 on Hotels
Location of hotel is excellent, with private access to cavelossim beach. All rooms are park facing, cottage type. Parking facility is good. Breakfast buffet is good with lot of choice (Continental, South Indian, North Indian). Did't try meal buffet, so can't comment. Nearby eateries (Fisherman's wharf/ Mike's place) are good. Room service tried once, found excellent.

Last minute sevice but location is best

Posted 26-Jun-2014 on Hotels
Best location and swimming pool was nice. Beach was exclusive. We need better service for the rooms. Can do better for this number of staff. Dinner buffet in Seagull needs improvements. Television telecast channels are not clear. Image was blur and with grains.
