Management staff and those in reception were excellent and very helpful at all times. Staff in the restaurant, especially the chefs/staff at breakfast left a lot to be desired with cold burnt eggs, cold biscuit like toast and simple tomatoes to accompany the eggs ten minutues later. The restaurant cannot cope with morning breakfast if there are many guests and seem to flounder and panic!! Room boy was excellent however.

It was a great stay. We arrived at 11.00 am and although we arrived early the receptionist checked us in straight away and we were given a pool view room which was amazing. The staff were very smiley, friendly and helpful. The plants and trees were kept in very good conditions and it was a very relaxing stay. Good value for money.

Excellent location but no hot water/limited wifi
Most aspects of the hotel room were solid: excellent location just yards off the beach, clean room though a bit dated, excellent breakfast, friendly staff, and wonderful pool. Water was at air temperature but not what I'd consider hot, though i was able to deal with it, and it wasn't so bad. WIFI is not available in the room, so you have to goto the pool area to get wifi. I was able to get a SIM card inexpensively which provided internet access in my room. I was charged 20 Rs by the hotel, so that each of my guests, who weren't staying at the hotel could get a beach towel.

Moving from worst to disastrous!
The hotel is very badly maintained. No Wi-fi in the room. Phone signal in very weak. Hotel does not provide hand towels, they just provide bath towels. Breakfast spread very limited and tasteless. Furniture is so-so, sofa covers very dirty. Best avoided.

First visit to India ( Condolim,Goa )
we were given room number 7 up arrival . this was a very large room with good basic facility,s only downside it was at the rear of the hotel with no views of anything except the trees which were virtually coming into the small balcony area off the living room , the house keeping of the room was excellent.The pool area was clean and well kept and is a great sun trap,we did not use the bar or restaurant as we went out early morning and returned late every day. Overall I would say we had a very good stay and would like to thank Raj on reception for his excellent customer skills,would stay again and would recommend to fellow tourists.

Spacious rooms. We took suites. Bathrooms ok. U get an electric kettle. But no WiFi in rooms. In Ground floor rooms in Maria block, u can't open curtains as ur room interior is visible outside. Try for rooms upstairs. Breakfast mainly south Indian but eggs are there. Not v large property. But proximity to market n beach makes it very convenient and gud stay.

Too many cockroaches in the first suite allocated. Otherwise the place is very vantageously sited next to the beach and walking distance of some of the best shacks and restaurants, provides a reasonable extended and adequate breakfast and generally the staff are courteous and helpful.

GREAT 3 STAR - Close to the Beach and Great Pool
I stayed at a Five Star in Goa for 3 nights....it was nice, the main road. But I wanted to experience being closer to the beach and a bit more of the Goa Beach feel, so I found the Casablanca...not a 5 star but a GREAT 3 Star. There are Not very many hotels exactly on the beach in Goa...this one is close and has a great pool and bar area.

OK place except for annoying roosters next door
I am surprised that nobody else has mentioned the acoustics at this place?? First, the rooms have poor noise insulation, so that you will hear any activity by the pool, where guests sometimes socialize even late into the night. Furthermore, the farm next door has several roosters who sound the wake up bell at around 6 am -- and keep it going for almost another hour! I had difficulty getting a good night's sleep here. Otherwise, the place is about what you'd expect: decent rooms, breakfast buffet, and pool area, and the staff are extremely helpful. The hotel grounds are clean and well-maintained. It is also conveniently close to the beach. My advice to the staff is that they strangle those roosters or cook them for dinner. Seriously, they need to show the farmer who's boss and clarify that North Goa is a tourism-based economy. Time to earn your pay the hard way.

Excellent 3 star budget hotel
I think this is one of the best 3 star budget hotels in Goa. Rooms are very spacious with big balcony , in fact balcony is 3/4th of the size of room. Service was good. Being a vegetarian, I liked the breakfast options. Location of the hotel is also good , very close to Candolim beach , silent area, even during busy time of December.

Quite, Beautiful and sorrounded by natures bounty!
Enjoyed our stay… Casablanca is for sure one of the best places to stay at candolim. Casablanca offers the much needed solitude and environment to relax for vacation time and that too a few hundred meters away from the fun bustling streets of Goa.

Awful!
Very disappointed with this hotel. We did not receive a friendly greeting on arrival and we were shown to a room on the ground floor which was at the back of the hotel and it was so dark and dismal and totally basic. Although the room was clean on the surface, everywhere was grubby underneath with a stained sofa, dead mosquito blood on the wall etc. We asked if we could be moved to another room and in fairness they did offer us another one straightaway on the first floor in a different building which was marginally better as it was much brighter. The pool was very small and there were only about six sunbeds on one side and the restaurant on the other, and and so it wasn't a very relaxing area. We did not enjoy the breakfast, the choice was limited to Indian foods and items such as eggs etc had to be paid for.

On the whole it was just ok. The rooms are big and clean. The also let us leave our bags at reception the whole day before our night time flight which was good. Things not so good were the breakfast. It was pretty poor...they charge for cereal for example and compared to the other 8 or 9 hotels I stayed at during the trip it didn't live up. Also, the chap at reception tried charging 500 rupees for wifi access when I asked one evening passing by...it decided to leave it and use the wifi at the local bar. No where else on my travels did anyone charge for wifi access!

Welcoming hotel.
Loved the peace and serenity of the area, and its closeness to the beach. The pool was inviting and safe for beginners and kids. One thing that disappointed is guests going into the pool in day wear and not swimwear. You could see the sludge in the pool water. Again breakfast was terribly disappointing. I would have loved to eat 'goan' food. but the veg base breakfast was not up to the mark. The staff was very helpful and prompt.

There was fungus on curtains, room was small compared to charges, in our 4 nights of stay they never changed our bedsheet, blankets were smelling, we never used their blankets, swimmimg pool was small and you cant take bath as it was in front of the dinning area and other rooms.

Disappointing Holiday
The approach of the hotel put us off at first sight. There was no car parking facility within the hotel premises, had to park our car out on the road about 150 mts from the hotel. We were put on the 2nd floor despite our request for a lower floor as we had our elderly mother with us. Both the 2nd and 3rd night the lights in one of our room kept tripping off. and after midnight we get a call from reception saying they would give us a room change, we declined as our mother and daughter were already asleep. The breakfast too did not cater to elderly people who have difficulty biting solid stuff

Disappointing stay at the Casablanca Hotel
We found this hotel to be dirty and over-priced. The sheets had holes in them, the towels were disgusting and the room in serious need of a makeover. The supposed buffet breakfast was horrible - toast and beans that's all. The pool area was nice, but the pool was small. The area itself was dirty.

The Room locks were not working and everytime we go out and come back we had to call Front desk and they will open the door through Master Key . Also I had paid extra for the kid and when I asked them about extra bed they asked to contact expedia directly . When I put argument that there list of guests staying in resort in the Restaurant clear cut mentions that I am couple + kid then how they can say that I have to contact expedia then they only provided it. Overall not a good stay .

An exceptional Hotel at an exceptional price!!!!!!
I have been to Casablanca twice before and never it has disappointed me.The hotel has a ideal location in Candolim which is quite close to the famous calungute & baga beach and at the same time gets you away from the busy hustle bustle of the city. Although you wont be able to adore the sea from the room, you can still hear the wonderful sounds of the waves crashing. The staff was very polite & are exceptional great with the service.The only thing where I think they should try doing better at is their Spa & massage facility, their massage cabin looks unhygienic & untidy, good enuf to change your mind if you are looking in for a massage service in the hotel. Everything else was just great to make my stay a memorable one. I would surely be looking forward to visit the place again!

Wenig Leistung für viel Geld... Enttäuschend.
Leider war unser Aufenthalt im Casablanca Hotel eine Enttäuschung - sehr hoher Zimmerpreis (ca. 130 Euro pro Nacht über Weihnachten) für sehr wenig Leistung und mangelhaftenService. (+) Strand ist schnell in 3 Minuten fußläufig zu erreichen. (+) Relativ ruhige Lage. (-) Sehr verwohnte und alte Zimmerausstattung, schmutzige Handtücher - wir erwarteten keinen westlichen Standard, aber eine gewisse Sorgfalt. (-) Während unseres Aufenthalts gab es kein warmes Wasser. Trotz eines Versuchs einer Reparatur keine Verbesserung, am nächsten Tag wurde auf unsere erneute Bitte nicht einmal mehr ein Versuch unternommen. Keine Nachfrage oder Bedauern seitens des Hotelpersonals. Sehr schade! (-) Wifi wird mit rund 4 Euro pro Tag extra berechnet und funktioniert lediglich draußen am Pool. Gleiches galt in unserem Fall für Bananen zum Frühstück, die wir (trotz inkludiertem Frühstück) selbst zahlen mussten. Kleinigkeiten, ja - aber ziemlich ärgerlich bei dem Preis, den wir für unseren Aufenthalt zahlten. Wir fühlten uns abgezockt und nicht als Gäste geschätzt. Wichtig zu wissen ist, dass der Ort Candolim SEHR touristisch ist, hauptsächlich russische Touristen, auf die sich die Restaurants, Bars und Shops mit Ihrem Angebot fokussieren (z.B. fast immer zweisprachig). Es gibt keine ruhigen Strandabschnitte; dicht an dicht reihen sich die Strandrestaurants mit ihren Strandliegen aneinander, meist ganztägig mit lauter Musik begleitet. Wer Erholung sucht, wird in Candolim nicht glücklich. :(
