“Rustic and reasonable”

Stayed here for a night out, its older than your typical chain motel fare, has far more character and for the price I liked it. Dead centre as well.

“one night only”

Hotel needs updating and a bit of money spent on it to bring it up to a better standard.We found staff very helpfull and friendly. Room was of reasonable size but as there is no double glazing we had traffic noise. Bed past its sell by date pillows were thin.But above all this we thought the hoover may have broken down when they cleaned our room, there was and probably still is a cigarette butt on the carpet as well as used tissue and a build up of dust under the desk .We only used the room to sleep in for one night only and didnt eat at the hotel so we cant comment on that .Would we stay at the hotel again ? No

Area recommendations
Gloucester seems to lack places to eat in the evening especially in the shopping areas ,I would recommend staying around the historic docks and quays outlet area where we thought was quite pleasant and there seemed to be more places to eat in the evening.

“Good place to stay in Gloucester”

Cheap, clean, comfortable accommodations. Nothing too fancy (and rooms rather small), but very convenient to the train station. Extremely helpful and friendly staff, and very nice breakfast in the mornings.
