The fleece hotel is a grade ii listed hotel with 28 ensuite bedrooms Having undergone a full redevelopment in 2011 the hotel is an ideal base whether in the cotswolds for a break or for business.From Show more 4th January 2012 we ll have the builders in as we re-develop the ground floor areas of The Fleece. We ve some exciting plans to create fantastic spaces for guests to eat and drink with us retaining all the charm that we know and love about The Fleece whilst giving a fresh new look we hope you ll approve of. We ll be serving JP s great home-cooked food throughout in 1651 as well Thwaites traditional cask ales and our all-day menu too.If you have any questions about the development and how it might affect your stay please do call Rebecca and she ll happily let you know the latest update on progress.You can keep an eye on our progress here on the website - we ll post regular updates or follow us on Facebook - and of course do come back and see us when we re all completed in April. “Good to be in the centre of town”

Loved the hotel location - close to all you would want to see and do in town. Bedroom decor leaves a lot to be desired - rather tired. Saturday breakfast was full of mistaken food and toast finally served just as we had finished. Sunday breakfast was perfect with efficient and excellent service! All other food and drinks service was excellent.

“NOT IMPRESSED”

The Fleece is in an excellent location in the very centre of Cirencester. The restauant/bistro offers good food at sensible prices. However, the hotel is in desparate need of refurbishment and decoration. At the prices they charge one expects good decor,a modern TV and shower/bathroom. There is an overall feeling of complecancy as it is the only hotel right in the town centre. Old/historic should not mean 'shabby'.
