“Better than expected”

Was very impressed with this hotel, the cleanliness was second to none and very comfortable. Would not hesitate to stay here again.

“Very Good”

Courteous and helpful staff, comfortable bed, powerful shower, very clean and well maintained and around 10 minutes walk to the Town Hall and Imperial Gardens. There was even a complementary free buffet breakfast that wasn't included in the booking price - a very nice touch. A well run and efficient Holiday Inn Express - highly recommended.

Area recommendations
Montpelier is the area to go for cafes and restaurants.

“Average”

Hotel was ok, small rooms, bed very very unconfortable. NCP car park just oposite the hotel (fee for 24hr= £6.50). Overall, this hotel is was fine for 2 nights but it is not a 3 stars! (Max 2 stars budget!)

“Clean & Convenient”

Very pleased with this hotel. Excellent & friendly staff. Very clean and modern and the advantage of being close to the town centre. Only criticism was the quality of the juices served for breakfast.

Area recommendations
The Montpellier and Promenade areas are lovely. Pity the centre on the weekend at night is taken over by noisy, drunken and feral youths roaming the place and spoiling the charm.

“Good hotel”

Good location near the city centre in Cheltenham. New, clean and modern hotel. Friendly and helpful staff. Room good (except no drawers). Great business and short break hotel. Only downside - no car park but NCP literally across road whcih was fine - just need to factor in parking costs.

Area recommendations
Try Brasserie Blanc - excellent restaurant c. 10 minute walk away.

“average experience”

overall was happy with this hotel. the breakfast was ok but for the english breakfast - scrambled eggs and bacon i was missing baked beans. Room was very nice, close to the high street and cinema. Good value for 3 star.

“Would stay here again”

the hotel was very clean, the room was a nice size and the staff were polite and helpful. Was a good place to be based for visiting the cotswolds villages as fairly central and didnt take long to drive to the key tourist places. Will defintely stay here again. Make use of the NCP car parking facility the hotel offer; you park in car park next to hotel, each day they stamp your ticket and the parking it is at a reduced rate.

Traveller's tip
When we checked in we were given a sheet with a list of resturants on saying can recieve a discount at those places when show holiday inn slip to show you are staying there. We used this most nights for eating and made dinner much cheaper. Restuarants not on the list also provided the discount so it is worth asking in the resturant.

“Excellent hotel and staff”

I did ask for a wake up call so that I could make my way to Heathrow for my flight. They did not do it, not checked the list! could have missed my flight, but I had a back up call from a friend.

“Very nice hotel”

Hotel was convenient and the staff was extremely friendly and helpful. If I am ever back there I would definitely stay there again.
