“Hatton Court Experience”

Hatton Courtl is set in beautiful grounds. The facility is geared for business conventions and such like.

Area recommendations
Gloucester city center, the cathedral, and the dock area which has been rejuvenated.

“Schönes Hotel in toller Gegend”

Hatton Court ist ein schönes Hotel im Cottage-Stil in idyllischer Lage. Die tollen Dörfer der Cotswolds (z.B.Sheepscombe!) sind mit dem Auto gleich um die Ecke und auch ins Dorf Upton St. Leonards und zum nächsten Pub ist es zu Fuß nicht weit. Das Frühstück ist sehr gut und reichhaltig (mehrere warme Speisen können gewählt werden) und auch das mehrgängige Dinner ist in Ordnung. Die Sauna und der Fitnessraum wurden 'zufällig' gerade renoviert und beim Empfang war man anfangs etwas unfreundlich. Daher beim Service nicht die Bestnote. Sonst aber alles prima und auch unser Zimmer in der untersten Kategorie war sehr schön! Alles in allem ein prima Hotel. Im Sommer könnte auf der Terasse evtl. ein bisschen die nahe Autobahn stören. Ist aber nicht gravierend.

Area recommendations
Gloucester und Cheltenham sind nicht unbedingt sehenswert, dafür aber die Dörfer der Umgebung. Im Herbst ist es hier fantastisch. Englische Landidylle pur. Spaziergänge kann man gut machen, einfach am Empfang nach einer Karte fragen. Painswick, Birdlip, Upton St. Leonards u.a. sind wirklich sehr schöne Dörfer.
