“quiet and comfortable hotel”

very good reception staff. Very good and well furnished room. very clean and comfortable. Our stay was was quiet and very enjoyable. This hotel is some distance from the city centre and has no shops ect in the neighbourhood. Excellent sports club / leisure club attached and dry ski slope opposite.

“Really enjoyable Stay”

Visited the Hotel 2/3 years ago when it was a Ramada Hotel and it was a bit tatty - now taken over by Hallmark Hotels and they are currently refurbishing it - stayed in one of the new refurbished bedrooms and it was a fantastic 4* standard, comphy bed, flatscreen tv, great shower - everything you need for a good nights stay, nice relaxed bar/food area (although a little dark with only the candles!) staff all very friendly and hotel very easy to find, really peaceful location, free parking - great, would recommend.

“Wait until renovation is complete.”

Major renovation makes this hotel unsuitable.

Area recommendations
We enjoyed the Four Mile House of Brookthorpe for dinner - except for their coffee.

“Never again”

The hotel is a sprawling unattractive building, tired would be an apt description. Some rooms are a long walk away from the bar area up a dank smelling corridor that has obviously been letting in water for some time. When we got there we wished we hadn't bothered.
