Quiet spectacular room, robe, fab toiletries and professional friendly staff. More like a spa than a work visit. Cool original gate style lift. Breakfast was ok but better to go to one of many coffee bars instead. Ate in Butterfly and Pig minutes away recommended by reception and superb. I felt looked after in the Arthouse which is rare for one night visits in big cities.
We stayed the night at citizenM in Glasgow after travelling to see a comes gig, choosing the venue for being a bit different to anything we have ever stayed in before.
Admittedly I didn't know what to expect when we arrived, but throughout our stay we were constantly suprised. The booking process is a self service checkin on a computer which is incredibly simple to use and had plenty of staff at hand to help. A girl by the name of Joanna was very helpful and pleasant in welcoming us and identifying places to go in the area.
The room itself was a small but perfectly functional and comfortable room with an amazingly big bed and duvet (for once I didn't have to fight my wife for a share of the covers!). Everything in the room is controlled by a tablet, so from the comfort of your bed you can control the tv, blinds, lighting, films, radio and alarm which was very exciting for a techy geek like myself.
A nice touch was the addition of free to watch movies on demand, ideal when we got in from our night out.
The lobby and sitting areas were wonderfully decorated with large comfortable seating, with each area being very quiet and comfortable.
Hotel was within walking reach of the town centre and all its amenities.
The only downside was there was no free parking. We used a local council car park on Cambridge st. If you present your ticket to staff they stamp it so you only pay a flat rate of £12 to park rather Tha the £21 advertised at the car park.
Wonderful comfortable hot

We booked Strathblane country house hotel as we were visiting Scotland for the Commonwealth Games 2014. We arrived late in the afternoon due to attending an event before hand. When we arrived we were welcomed by lovely staff who attended to our every need. There were cleaning products outside our room which were removed straight away once we had reported them and the room was comfortable and pleasant. The surroundings of the hotel were stunningly beautiful. Breakfast was of outstanding quality and the variety on offer was superb. We also stayed at the hotel for one evening meal during our 3 day stay and was blown away with the quality of the food, a complete highlight of our trip. The staff were extemely pleasant and very helpful to us whilst in Scotland, they were very informative on places to see and go and local public transport that we could use. The only downside to our stay at Strathblane country hotel was a clash with an event they were hosting (i believe it may have been a birthday celebration or a wedding reception) music was very loud till late of a night and other guests were extremely loud throughout the evening and early hours in the morning, running up and down corridors and banging doors, staff did not address this to our knowledge and this interrupted our final nights sleep before our long drive back to the West Midlands.
Very friendly staff on arrival. Although I was on my own they had changed me to a double room. Later a young man came up very willingly to show me how to change channels on the TV. The room had everything I required.
Had an excellent dinner in the bar with two very good glasses of wine again with lovely staff.
Slept very well then a nice shower and down for breakfast, which was a good continental one.
Will definitely stay there again.
We stayed for 1 night on my birthday.
The hotel is located within easy public transport to Glasgow Central Hotel.
The room was lovely and spacious.
The bar was roomy and had a lovely wee window nook where we had a relaxing drink.
