I stayed overnight in the Menzies, and had a fantastic experience. My 'executive king' room was spacious, clean and well equipped. The price included free soft drinks and snacks (popcorn, raisins, a twix) and lovely bathrobes for after I used the amazing shower. The staff were super friendly and helpful, and nothing was too much effort. They even printed me out some documents I had forgotten to bring with me without charge. They arranged my taxi and came to get me from breakfast when it was early. The toiletries were of good quality, wifi was free, the bed was large and comfortable and came with 6 pillows and 4 cushions!
Breakfast was properly cooked and tasty - the highlight for me was well seasoned and perfectly cooked scrambled eggs (rather than dried out or mushy as they are in many hotels), but there were also beans, mushrooms, potato cakes, fresh fruit, juices, cereal, toast, pastries, yoghurts, cold cuts. Well worth the small uplift in price.

This is a great hotel about a 10 minute walk into town.
Decor is modern but could do with a repait at some stage.
Great bar, restaurant and great breakfast service.
the staff are Very friendly and accommodating.
We did have an issue with noise about 12:30am from 'boy racers' in the street below our room.
Not the fault of the hotel (and not dealt with by the local police), that said, the night manager was fantastic and arranged another room for us straight away, we were able to leave all our belongings I our room and slept in the new room over night - without any further noise.
Great response - would recommend and would return
As a group of people needing lots of twin rooms, this hotel was able to accommodate us all, and in great style at a very reasonable price. Rooms are very spacious, and the decor throughout the hotel very impressive. Friendly staff made this a great place to stay.
Long an important industrial centre and port, modern Glasgow is one of Britain’s most vibrant cultural cities. The centre features outstanding Victorian architecture and houses over 20 galleries and museums, several boasting world-class collections, and many graced by the works of Charles Rennie Mackintosh. Performing arts venues stage the best acts outside London, with shops (Merchant Square, Buchanan Street, Barras Market) and restaurants to match.
