Two bedroom apartment located in a very nice complex. If you are there, take a walk around and enjoy the view of the see and the Rock of Gibraltar. Very clean and safe place. Lady at the reception very professional, she made sure we had everything we needed even thou we stayed only one night.
I've stayed at the Eliott many times before. That in itself is the best recommendations a hotel can have - returning guests. It's perfectly situated, the facilities are good and the staff remember you. My only real criticism is that their free WiFi is hard to use. The password changes every day and the log in process is complex. Everywhere else when a password is required my phone tells me and one tap connects to the login screen. Here the phone just says its connected and you have to know that, or remember that you have to open your browser to find the login screen. But that's not all. You're then presented with several options and of course its the last one you want. It's seriously bonkers and needs binning. Everywhere else in Gibraltar my phone connects automatically remembering the password used on my previous visit. In the very few cases where the password has changed it just asks straight away for the new one. No complex palaver! Rant over, this is a great hotel with one tiny glitch I can live with.
I spent six nights in the AC la linea and cannot fault any part of my stay. Staff were friendly and helpful in every aspect of my stay. Room was a good size with great views to Gibraltar. Also kept clean and tidy. Location was fine and plenty to do around hotel. Would definitely recommend and hope to be back again next year.
I had last minute meeting in Gibraltar and this was the only hotel I could find at short notice. I stayed there for 1 night. To be fair, it does not advertise itself as The Ritz, so I shouldn't have expected much. The room was clean enough, but stank of smoke. There was no hot water, but the AC worked and wasn't noisy. The bed and mattress were old, but not uncomfortable. I got the feeling that the bed linen hadn't been washed properly, but that could have been down to the fact that everything smelt of smoke.
The location of the hotel is good. It is near the main square of La Linea (with lots of restaurants and bars) and only a 10-15 min walk to Gibraltar border.
If you're a backpacker, you'll be satisfied with your choice of hotel. If you're on a business trip, don't leave it until the last minute and book something better!
