The maritim was a very nice surprise, it was very modern, clean with extremely friendly and helpful staff. it has three pools inc an excellent one on the roof and one in a very pleasant garden setting.
Our room was clean, bright and modern with a nice bathroom and awesome shower
Buffet breakfast was very good with a good choice of hot and cold food, evening buffet was very good value with again a good selection of hot and cold meals available
The bar opened at 6pm and there was a fantastic selection of cocktails and spirits and the wine was very nice especially at just over 2 euros a glass
Overall I cannot think of any negatives about this hotel and I would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a nice hotel in mellieha that's good value for money
We did a lot of research before booking this hotel and were not disappointed. First tip: book a room with a sea view if you want a stunning view! Alot of rooms back onto a stepped alleyway which is not a problem as it was quiet but I imagine you only get a view if you request one like we did. We were self-catering as that suited us but we did eat in the cave bar one lunchtime and found our food matched the quality of the food in all the restaurants in Mellieha - exceptional, tasty and good value for money. We wanted to explore the island - this hotel is in an ideal location for northern destinations, Gozo, Comino & Valletta as bus connections are good. Do not pick this hotel if you want a week on the beach, Mellieha's beach is a bus journey away. We were too busy exploring to spend alot of time using the hotel's facilities but what we saw was of a high standard. We found staff to be extremely friendly and helpful. I'd would however advise booking a transfer from the airport for this hotel. We caught the bus and were lucky to be dropped at the top of the hill managing to find the hotel by walking downhill with more luck than judgement! If you approach the hotel from the bottom of the town with suitcases you will not be very happy with the hundreds of steps you'll have to climb to get to reception. Its fine once you're checked in as you'll be able to take the hotel lift. Mellieha is a lovely town, not taken over by tourists but gently embracing them. We plan to return!
I stayed in Mellieha which was a 60-90 minute bus ride from Valletta so a little far away but easy transport links if you are happy to travel.
Nice and quiet which is what I wanted.
Free wifi in reception area only, would have been good in rooms too.
Overall lovely staff - very friendly. Nice pool. Food was buffet half board and very good throughout my stay.

Resort hotel immersed in pristine countryside situated in the north of Malta, with impressive views of the Islands of Gozo …More
Room spacious and clean, however it was not clearly stated in the description that the free wifi and the air conditioning only applied in the reception area. The room only had a rather inadequate ceiling fan. Also there was no mention that there is a 50 euro deposit for the room key. A room safe could be hired as also could an extra fan but these had a deposit of 10 euros apiece and a daily charge, meaning your funds are 70 euros down instantly if you want security and comfort on your holiday.
