We chose this hotel for its location and easy access to visiting Gettysburg College with our grandson for a campus tour etc. We had time to visit Gettysburg Battlefield and the museum etc. plus the next day we drove to Lancaster and Amish Country. It was a great family trip and hope that our grandson chooses to attend Gettysburg College so we can have more opportunities to explore this historic area of our country.
My husband and I just returned from 5 days in Gettysburg, and can't say enough about the Brafferton Inn. Brian and Joan were friendly and very knowledgeable about the area, and the Inn is just wonderful. Excellent location! We stayed in the Loft Suite, and it was clean and comfortable and very roomy! Breakfast was delicious everyday, and we stayed full until mid afternoon when we grabbed a snack out. We would definitely stay there again, and would highly recommend this Inn to anyone.
Manager was very welcoming and knowledgeable about the area. Stay away from the restaurant across the parking lot. Breakfast was horrible. Hotel is extremely neat and charming in it appointments. I would definitely recommend

Located in the heart of the Gettysburg downtown historic district, this historic 1896 hotel offers grandeur, elegance and …More
Great breakfast, beautifully landscaped grounds with comfortable coves to sit and relax. The staff was wonderful and attentive, the room was clean and comfortable. We will definitely stay there when we come to Gettysburg again.
Just an over night stay. Room was clean and comfortable. Located near shops and right next to the Jennie Wade House. 2 blocks over was the National Cemetery for a quick midnight walk. Walking to Dobbin House was & Hall of Presidents Museum. Many places to eat. Also near to the Farnsworth house.
Really enjoyed this hotel. Excellent location in downtown Gettysburg. Not fancy but clean and comfortable. Had a room with a small balcony in the second building, which was really nice. Two or three nice restaurants within a block or two walking distance. Continental breakfast average.
This motel was excellent: location, quality staff, great tavern next door, fine rooms, and proximity to battlefields rich with history regarding Gettysburg. If you are looking for the "cookie cutter" high-rise motel with plastic plants, then you should not choose this motel. This Quality Inn reflects the clean, quiet, and hospitable genre of travel lodges once the standard and not the exception. My thanks to the owner and his/her staff for providing guests with quality. I highly recommend this motel!
