“We will be going back!”
We often stay in this hotel when we visit Wilson College and are always satisfied. I was also thrilled to get a better rate from Expedia!
“Hagerstown overnight”
The hotel was convenient and clean. It lived up to expectations. Good value
“Overall, good stopover”
A good, comfortable place for our family of four to collapse after a long day's drive. Right next to Ruby Tuesday, which would have been great if we'd been up to eating a meal. The sign in the front parking lot was disconcerting -- warnings to remove valuables from the car, etc. When I asked the desk clerk if they had many break-ins, though, she said they hadn't had one in the three years she'd been working there. Odd that a nonsmoking facility should have the odor of cigarettes in the lobby. (Mystery solved the next morning after breakfast, though. The employee who'd worked the breakfast buffet stood smoking directly outside the back door of the building, letting the smoke waft right in.) With severe allergies and asthma, hotel air is the first thing we notice. Uneasy feelings on our walk down the hall to the elevator, since it was obvious that the carpet had been sprayed with a coverup air freshener. But our fears were laid to rest when we entered our room, which smelled truly fresh and clean, complete with warnings to smokers that they mean business about keeping the air clean in their rooms. The fan on the room air conditioning unit was strong. even on low -- I'd wondered why the fabric chair had been placed in front of it, until I lay down on the bed. Moved that chair right back in front of the unit! Other comments: No air conditioning in the elevator? And a 9:30 end to breakfast is too early. Would definitely stay here again.
“Easy on-off hotel”
I am a SPG member and this Sheraton was a good find on a long travel day. It was an easy on-off stop and the room was clean, though a bit musty. The staff was excellent and we appreciated the hot breakfast very much! Excellent coffee as well. The cost was appropriate for this level of a hotel as we felt it was a good value for the area. I bet the upgrades that all Sheratons are doing will continue making this location better and better.
“Qualification to work there "RUDENESS"”
IF you wanted to be treated like a criminal, stay here. The staff is rude beyond belief. I have never been treated worse. We couldn't comprehend the meaning behind their rudeness or lack of customer service skills.
“terrible customer service”
We picked this hotel because it was close to an event that we had to participate in and it was a reasonable price and had a decent rating. We traveled with a group who booked 7 rooms in total on a Friday night and then 9 rooms on Saturday night. From the moment we walked in we encountered terribly rude front desk staff. Over a 2 day stay, we were treated rudely by 3 different front desk staff. They seemed irritated anytime any of our group needed something...from getting a room key re-keyed to checking out and back in because the 2 nights were booked seperately. We waited at the desk while the staff took phone calls without an apology afterward, but instead with the usual irritated tone...we also were told to go to our rooms when the doors were locked at 11pm (we were sitting on patio by the pool). We were told we could not drink beer on the patio, so we asked if they had a lounge area we could drink beer in and the guy actually said "if you like the sauce go back to --". Yet they have alcoholic beverages on the room service menu. The hotel is in major need of an update and the area the hotel is located was less than desirable with homeless folks hanging around. The beds were very small (double beds) and very hard. The AC in a couple rooms did not work well. And some rooms overlook a disgusting stream. The 1 good thing was the free breakfast buffet and the staff lady that worked it was really nice and friendly and was the nicest staff member we encountered there.
“nice”
the hotel was clean. the breakfast was good. the pool was clean.the beds were comfortable.the help as very nice.
“Staff Was Great-Good Basic Accomodations”
Have stayed at this hotel several times and the service has always been good. The free breakfast is also nice with waffles made fresh, eggs, and sausage or bacon. Fresh fruit and danishes are also available. The only complaint I had about this stay was that the room seemed damp and musty when we arrived. Good basic hotel...nothing fancy, but for the price it was good.
“Good deal and convenient”
This hotel was convenient to our destination. It was clean and provided the service we needed to successfully complete our business.
“Great stay for a wrestling tournament”
The hotel could use some updates. We were there for a wrestling tournament the next day. Def. need to get more than 1 waffle maker, waited 15 mins to make a waffle for my wrestler. Parking is a problem. Maybe valet service would help. Overall great stay for the price and the fact we were only sleeping there and leaving at 7am.
