“Perfect Italian hotel”

This was a classic Italian hotel. For some the rooms might be slightly small but it is what we expected. The location is perfect as it is within 200 meters of the centre of Genoa and all its attractions. The breakfast was very good and the rooms were spotless, It is an ideal hotel for visiting Genoa.

“Super Location”

The Bristol Palace Hotel is in a great part of Genoa. It is conveniently located to visit many of the main attractions. It's also near a Metro station in case you need to move about by subway. The hotel itself is an older hotel with fairly small rooms. But they are very clean and comfortable. I also found it to be quite quiet there. The staff was helpful and spoke english. The breakfast buffet was varied for a variety of tastes. Fresh, fruit, cereal, coffee, juice, breads etc. Overall I was very pleased with the Bristol Palace.

“Why the fourth star?”

This hotel is in an excellent location, and is everything you would expect from a European city centre hotel: clean, compact bedrooms, adequate service at reception and a good breakfast. However, there is nothing in our opinion that makes this a '4 star' establishment and be warned, whilst the sound proofing to the outside is good, the internal walls are paper thin.

“comfortable, convienent and old world”

It was a nice hotel for a business trip, nice condition and convienient. Great small bar and breakfast, clean and european. I wouldn't stay here on a vacation or want to stay in room much. The bathroom was new and elegant but the street was noisey, the room small, and no way to darken the room except wooden shutters that didn't close all the way.

“The Bristol Palace lives up to its name!”

The hotel is perfectly situated, in a fabulous historic building under an arcade on Genoa's main shopping street. It is beautifully appointed, both in the public areas and the rooms. The sumptuous breakfast buffet and elegant breakfast room were a wonderful way to start the day. The staff was extremely helpful and professional. I recommend this hotel and city most highly, and plan to return with a study abroad group.

Area recommendations

The historic center of Genoa is a goldmine of beautiful architecture, winding streets, and outstanding museums and sites. Everything is within walking distance, but there is so much to do and to see that a week is barely enough time. Especially captivating is the area around the Church of San Matteo and the monumental palaces on the Via Garibaldi. In fact, there isn't a single section in old Genoa that I wouldn't recommend!

“Great Hotel in Genoa”

Beautiful hotel. This was our first stop on our 10 day trip to Italy and France and it turned out to be one of the best. The hotel had Best breakfast of the entire trip and it was included in the cost of the room. The service was exceptional and the location was perfect for sightseeing and shopping. I highly recommend!

“Great Location”

The hotel is in the perfect location. Not that far from the train station and very close to the port and the historic district. Easy walking distance to the museums.

“Higly recommend this wonderful character hotel near old town”

Stayed 3 nights and loved the room, the hotel, the huge breakfast buffet with fresh cappacinos and croissants. Easy to find with excellent signage. Parking was extra but worth the convienence. Minor complaint about the price of the internet per hour. We travelled for a month and internet was free in 12 fo 15 hotels and bed and Breakfasts. I would suggest that have a special low rate for vacationners.
