“Good Location and Average Price”
The place is nice, the building is a little old and the elevator is from the 70's, this also goes for the decor, but the rooms are clean and comfortable, I highly suggest u take a non smoking room as it smells terrible, had to change to a non smoking one. the price is ok i guess, but do keep in mind that Switzerland is super super super expensive and so a price of CHF 250 is not that terrible for a 3 star hotel. In summer that is. Most rooms have a balcony which i love, but the lake view is blocked due to the large trees between the lake and the hotel..,
“Great for International Organizations”
I chose this hotel because it was close to several of the international organizations I needed to visit. The rooms are European sizes i.e. not huge, but not closets either. If you like quiet and you're coming during warmer months, ask for a room that doesn't face the big street (Rue de Lausanne). The wireless internet works extremely well, though it is an additional 10 Swiss Francs to sign-up. The breakfast is very nice (includes cheeses, yummy breads, ham, cereals, yogurt, boiled eggs, juices, coffee/tea, lots of condiments, etc.); also each room has a minibar, which means you can buy food and keep it cold. My first room was right on the busy street; with the windows closed it was surprisingly quiet, but with the windows open it was LOUD. My second room was facing the interior courtyard and was WONDERFULLY peaceful. The staff speak English and French and are friendly and helpful. There are buses right outside that take you to central Geneva (and the train station) and also to the UN, WTO, WHO, WIPO, etc. You get a free bus pass when you check in. There are probably cheaper places in Geneva to stay if you want to cut corners, but I found this place a really comfortable and relaxing environment, so it seemed worth the price.

Area:
Petit-Saconnex, Geneva, Switzerland: Once a wooded hamlet closer to France than Geneva, this suburb is now a smart residential and consular zone. The area's main attractions include the Palais des Nations (headquarters of the United Nations) and the Musee Ariana, which houses an impressive collection of glass and ceramics. A favourite restaurant among locals is Café du Soleil, on the main square.
