Short Stay in Geelong

Posted 01-Jun-2015
Pros: All modern amenities
Cons: Available off street parking, at $18 per night was poorly laid out, and provided no more a secure environment to street parking.
Location: Close to Geelong CBD
Pleasant overnight stay in a well known hotel in Geelong. Well priced package, which included continental breakfast, making this a pleasant experience.

Nice establishment overlooking the CBD.

Pros: View, location, amenities & staff.
Cons: Air conditioning, parking cost.
Location: Handy to the Geelong CBD, railway station and Kardinia Park football oval.
Enjoyed the upgrade to a city view room. Well appointed room, but had issues with air conditioning that couldn't be adjusted (fixed for the whole floor), hence needed a fan and open window (despite the cold weather) to keep sufficient ventilation in the room. (Heard some other residents also complain about the ventilation). Otherwise, quite comfortable. Parking was secure, but for a fee. Parking on the street, outside the hotel lot, was time-limited until late.

Soiled pillows, uncomfortable beds.

Posted 18-Apr-2015 on Wotif
We didn't sleep at all. The beds are hard and creak when you move. The "bedding" was an uncovered dirty doona sandwiched between two flat sheets, resulting in a tangled mess. The spare pillow in the cupboard was unwashed. We ordered 3 coffees through room service for me and my guests. They came in take away cups and i was charged $4 extra for room delivery! I would've gone down and got them myself if I knew i was getting paper cups. Wouldn't recommend this hotel. The staff are lovely though.

no value for money here

Pros: the bed was comfy
Cons: curtains, shower & bench space in bathroom
Location: good location
Disappointing room, the bathroom was set up for disabled access but the shower curtain did not go all the way around the shower, there were no hooks to hang your clothes and no bench space anywhere to put toiletries on. The shower head was old and there was very little water pressure. the towels were also quite old and well worn. the bedroom curtains had to be closed all the time as the drapes were sewn together with the sheer curtains and could not be closed seperately.
