This hotel is great for a relaxing city break. Overlooking the river and centrally located, the hotel offers a great base for exploring Gdansk as well as leisure facilities to ensure you can 'chill out'. The rooms are clean, modern and spacious with huge beds and large bathrooms. Everything was immaculate. The hotel leisure area is great with a lovely little pool for a dip, sauna, steam room and well equipped gym. My favourite part of the hotel was the roof terrace overlooking the river, where you can have a drink at the bar or enjoy the sunbeds further along (which are extremely comfortable) with a beautiful view.
Would thoroughly recommend this hotel.
Was at the hotel for two weeks in a suite. Staff was very helpful and nice. Had a slight problem with in room safes. Had two replaced due to malfunction. Replaced promptly. Otherwise, positive experience. Definitely walking distance to all the sights in Old Town.
Cabs taken from in front of hotel were reliable & fairly prices. Ask for the price to your destination before you leave. Cabs taken from other locations back to hotel are opportunistic & generally more expensive. Again, ask for prices before you leave to avoid being ripped off.
We enjoyed the look of the place as well as the staff, especially the waitress in the bar area who was friendly and helpful. Even taught us a few Polish words! Good bar food as well. We were upgraded to the 16th floor which had a good View. Near the train station and convenient for sightseeing as well.
The Radisson Blu is very well located. We simply stepped out the door and were exactly where we wanted to be. The restaurants surrounding the hotel were varied and excellent. The hotel staff was amazing. They answered questions, gave suggestions and helped any way that they could. We highly recommend this hotel!
"Very comfortablel convenient hotel near the centre"
Rooms are well furnished with fridge and tea and coffee facilities. Complimentary water both still and fizzy every day.
Great breakfast to suit all tastes including vegetarian Restaurant had a varied menu and an all inclusive buffet. We ate in the hotel every evening.
The staff could not do enough for us and were very friendly .
It was a very well managed hotel.
Only negative was that the lift was not working which was difficult for amemner of our party who had mobility problems
Flights were on time.
Hotel first class. Staff more than helpful and they could speak English which was very good. They were very pleasant and never too busy to answer any query we had. Ordering taxis for our party of 8 was never a problem. An outside area to sit with friends would have been welcome. The hotel was a 5 minute walk under an underpass which was well lit and safe at all times from the old town of Gdansk. Gdansk is amazing.
The Scandic is right next to the station (which is handy for a day trip to Malbork Castle) and is only a short distance from the old town. The rooms have air conditioning which was great in the summer heat and humidity it was over thirty degrees centigrade whilst we were in Poland.
