“Friendly and well appointed hotel”

Start to finish, a really nice hotel to stay at. Excellent food and very good, easy & friendly service. The restaurant was good for breakfast, thoughts that the full breakfast seemed a bit expensive vanished when we experienced the quality and variety of food and drink available. The Continental breakfast taken in the "cafe lounge" at the front of the hotel was very nice indeed, plenty to eat, beautifully presented and our favourite breakfast, always served by warm and friendly staff. Service in the "pub bar" late evening was also very good, a delightful experience, nice to know one could be late back and still find a good variety of food being served. The room was comfortable and fresh, room service was very good. The walk across the park to the beautiful sandy beach was easy, just one main road to cross with no problems. The walk into Sopot centre and the Pier was easy, even for one needing a walking stick. Compared to a previous stay at another hotel in Sopot it was very good value, and the final bill for food, bar, cafe and room service was not a shock! The Haffner was great for us and to us, and is thoroughly recommended!

Area recommendations
Sopot centre and the Pier and Wedels for addictive chocolate drinks & desserts. Cathedral, churches and parks, museums - plenty to see and do. Trains & tram easy to use and an inexpensive way to travel, but we only used for local area and short distances. Gdansk old City plenty to see, lovely old & restored buildings_ some very good restaurants by the river and museums. Plenty to see and do all around. Nice & interesting variety of shops.The Gdansk shipyard's "Solidarity" gates are worth looking at. Westerplatte memorial/monument and the war-ravaged military ruins where WW2 started we found to be a very moving place. Language no problem in all Sopot and Gdansk nearly all spoke English.

“good hotel in trendy place”

the building is about 7 y.o. The rooms are big and comfortable. Rooom-Service was relatively expensive, but the food was good. Nice, large indoor-pool. Guarded parking, same places are in the basement. Walking distance to the beach 3 minutes. My wife had a wonderful massage in the spa.

We had a excellent Dinner in the Grand Hotel Sopot (Sofitel), walking distance 10 minutes.

“Ein paar Tage in Sopot”

Wir waren insgesamt mit dem Hotel Haffner sehr zufrieden. Lediglich waren der Empfang von ARD und ZDF auf unserem Zimmer, auch nachdem wir nachgefragt hatten, nicht möglich. Die Rechnung, die man auf dem Fernseher einsehen kann, war fehlerhaft. Dies führte zu Verwirrungen, die sich aber aufklärten. Das Frühstück war sehr gut. Wir fanden es aber zu teuer.

Area recommendations
Wir haben Gdansk, Hel und Malbork besucht und fanden es sehr schön und interessant. Hel ist eigentlich von Sopot gut mit dem Schiff zu erreichen. Allerdings gestaltet sich die Organisation dieser Schiffsreise als sehr umständlich. Die Schiffe waren zu klein und fuhren nicht so häufig, sodass man nicht mit jedem Schiff fahren konnte und Tickets schon sehr früh kaufen musste. Außerdem befinden sich Kasse und Einstieg am Ende der Sopoter Mole, für die man Eintritt zahlen muss. Nach Gdansk kann man gut mit dem Regionalzug fahren.

“Hotel in Sopot”

Das Hotel liegt zwar etwas abseits, der Fußweg bis zur Fußgängerzone bzw. zum Strand ist aber noch akzeptabel. Die Zimmer sind geräumig und sauber. Das Personal ist in der Regel hilfsbereit und freundlich. Die Bedienung auf der kleinen Terasse neben dem Eingang ist wie fast überall in Polen sehr langsam und unaufmerksam, in unserem Fall sogar unfreundlich.

“Sehr empfehlenswertes Hotel”

In diesem Hotel stimmt das Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis auf alle Fälle, sehr guter Service, sogar deutschsprachig. Pool, Sauna und Dampfsauna sehr ansprechend und hochwertig. Gern immer wieder.

“Das Hotel Haffner hat einen guten Service, einen netten Pub und ein gutes Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis”

Das Hotel ist etwas abseits von der Mole gelegen, sehr ruhig, sehr schön eingerichtet, mit einem sehr guten Service. Der Pub im Hotel ist zu empfehlen. Man kann über das Hotel auch Fahrräder ausleihen und über die Concierge bekommt man alle Informationen, die man für einen angenehmen Urlaub so braucht. Das Personal spricht sehr gut Englisch, manche wohl auch deutsch. Alles in allem kann ich das Hotel nur empfehlen und würde es noch mal buchen, wenn ich nach Sopot reisen würde.

Area recommendations
Sopot selbst ist ein wirklich sehr schöner Badeort. Danzig ist ca. 10 km südlich gelegen und sehr empfehlenswert. Ich werde auf jeden Fall noch einmal wieder kommen.
