“Very welcoming hotel!”

The hotel was clean and in good decorative order (may have been recently decorated). The staff were all very pleasant and welcoming. The room was very comfortable, especially the king size bed. It was great to enter a nicely cooled toom after a long and hot journey in the car. Breakfast was fresh, clean and plentiful.

Dining

There are many restaurants in Vieste, and after some research, we found that the best by far was right next door! It's unimaginative name is 'Box 18' - don't be put off by this, because the food and service was excellent. To ensure a table, you need to arrive reasonably early - such is its popularity.

Outdoors or beach

There is use of a very good quality nearby lido (included in hotel price),which is a good 15 mins. walk, however this didn't bother us that much, and it was good exercise.

“Beautiful, subtle, newly decorated hotel”

Palace Hotel Vieste has recently enjoyed a full revamping, done with excellent taste. The hotel is spotless and the staff are efficient and fluent in English (which is fairly rare in Vieste). The hotel restaurant is excellent and serves a delicious 4-course dinner for 25 euro. (Also serves lunch, which I did not try.)

Area recommendations

Be sure to walk to the "punta," the extreme physical point of the area, which is a rocky cliff that provides a dramatic look at the sea (near the church of San Francesco). The old town is charming for a walk and contains a cluster of restaurants and shops (many of which are closed by late October).

“Sicuramente da segnalare”

Ottimo hotel posto in posizione centralissima a pochi metri dal porto e dal corso principale. Personale preparato e disponibile. Valida la cucina e la prima colazione. Unico piccolo neo è che non dispone di posti macchina sufficienti, anche se il personale si è dimostrato disponibile a sistemare nel modo migliore l'auto.
