Stayed here for 2 nights on a quick visit to Paris with the in-laws. It was a little basic, but I thought good value for money and the staff were very friendly. If you are like me and tend to only spend the hours between midnight and 8am at your hotel, I'd recommend it. If you are wanting something fancy with a lot of facilities, it's probably not for you.
Charming entirely renovated hotel, the Home Moderne hotel welcomes you in a quiet area of Paris near the exhibition centre …More
I had a very good experience at the hotel
The price is reasonable
The staff is quite helpful and they speak English as well
There are many small shops and eateries around serving a variety of food ranging from Chinese,Japanese,Lebanese cuisine
There is also a Mc Donald's at about 5 mins walk
The metro station is also a 5 mins walk
The locality seemed quite decent to me
Overall we were quite happy with our stay
Stayed for five days and location fantastic. Across the street from the Metro and walking distance to the Eiffel Tower and many restaurants and cafes. Room small as expected- bed comfortable. Not surprisingly, no English channels on TV. Bathroom shower had fair pressure but was a hand-held and the position of it on the wall made it impossible to stand under so you had to hold it. Both safe and towel rack needed a chair to be reached. Breakfast at 12 euros each daily was not worth the money. Two mornings wake up call did not come. As one was the day we were leaving we were lucky we woke up. Elevator broke down one afternoon-fixed by next morning. Desk staff-most nice and helpful but one (the one who checked us in) was less than hospitable.
It took us a while to find the hotel from the metro conversion as the directions we were given from the hotel staff wasn't the best but once we arrived we were disapointinly asked for a unexpected €50 deposit I believe this should be noted when booking the hotel. The room was basic but clean. The hotel bar was very expensive and not worth the money. I would overall still recommend this hotel for whoever wants a cheap and easy option for a Paris stay.
