I really enjoyed my stay, my main worry was finding the hotel as it is situated 20 mins on the train outside Paris city center. However it was really simple to find, you can catch the Metro from anywhere in the city to link into an RER Station, most of the the metro stations are RER, so you can go direct to Pallaiu Massay, the hotel is 5 mins walk downhill from the station the cost is just £3.00 per person.
The hotel had great facilities The restaraunt was very good quality food and excellent service and a very reasonable cost
The leisure facilites and customer servcies were also both excellent
This was by no means a luxury hotel, but it was convenient and comfortable. The staff was extremely helpful when I had a problem. The room was small by American standards, but this did not pose a problem.
The biggest plus of the hotel was its location, just a short walk from both a Metro station and a TGV station. This allowed me to quickly and easily arrive at and leave the area.
I had two complaints: 1. Only wireless internet was offered. My American laptop could not use the wireless network, thus preventing me from doing some important work.
2. The price of the breakfast buffet was pretty high. This convinced me to just buy some fruit and yogurt from the nearby grocer.
We like hotel chains for transit because they are usually modern, well-maintained, and clean. Sadly this hotel is long overdue for a refurbishment. Although the reception and breakfast area has been refreshed relatively recently, the rest of the hotel is not very pleasant - some repairs to the bathroom were messy, the paint is generally yellowed and chipped, the lift was out-of-order when we checked out, carpets and ceilings in the corridors stained and slightly smelly. Although all the rooms are supposed to be non-smoking, confirmed with a sign on the door, there was cigarette smoke in the air, perhaps through the ventilation.
The Expedia description, complete with complimentary newspaper and "signature bedding", gives a much classier impression than the reality. That said, we had booked for 2 nights, and we returned for the second night, so it wasn't the worst hotel experience we've ever had!
It was just an ok place and really really smelt of smoke. Staff were off hand and not very helpful. We did not take kindly to a knock on the door at 9.30 to see if we were ready to check out so that the room could be cleaned, bed changed etc..
The car parking facilities were poor as the square was being dug up.
The outside of this hotel does not give a good impression But the inside was fine. I wanted a clean bed and bath for one night before I caught an early airplane and this hotel was just right for that. The room was very small. However there was no free transport to the airport and a taxi which was prompt arriving cost Euros 20. There is very little info on this hotel on your websight . This could be impoved
Usually I dont take the lines to review but i felt i had to this time. I read several reviews not looking information about the hotel but mostly about the area located since it was too much of a bargain. The location was great if you are visiting Paris. It's about a 25-30 minute drive but nice if you are looking to beat the Paris noise. Indeed, you will need a car if you want to visit Paris. We were on a road trip so we needed a hotel with parking included.
The room was spacious (again, remember this is an European hotel... not USA) Our room was next to the highway and you couldnt hear a thing thanks to the double windows. Breakfast had a fee of around 8 euros but it was great! From croissants to capuccino, prosciutto, etc.
Problems we found:
A/C Heater- we went in the middle of the winter so we needed heater. It was a bit old and by the morning the room was really humid. My hair went all frizzy lol.
The shower- water heater was great... it just too ackward. Does not has a a courtain or door. Kind of weird looking but sufficient.
Front Desk- i read the thing about the hotel not been secure and reason why the close the door after 10:30. Not accurante. Smaller budget European hotels work different. They close at 10:30 because usually they sleep while in service since they work longer shifts. Most times Front Desk closes at that time and it stressed in the reservation.
So... this is a great budget hotel. Remember you are in Europe and things works differently!
In the South of Paris and close to Orly airport, the team of this hotel will offer you the best in confort and in a …More
