“No complaints”

This was my first stay in a "microtel", but it served its purpose well as a cheap easy hotel stop close to birmingham. My first room had a heater that didnt work, but they switched me to a better room without hassle. Nothing fancy, but its a decent place to stay. No issues with traffic heading into the city in the morning. Quiet.

“they forgot to clean our room twice”

forgot to clean room twice. We had to have our room key cards redone 3 times and they never asked for any ID or name.

“Very NIce....”

We were very happy with the accomodations and cleanliness. We would definitely stay here again.

“Nice - needs more breakfast options”

Clean - pool was nice - employees helpful - breakfast area/food could be improved - more choices needed

“Good location - especially for NASCAR fans”

Hotel had decent eateries, all nearby. Also near the main highway interchange to Birmingham or Talladega. Hotel staff very accomodating. Coffee and lite fare breakfast available each morning was nice. Clean, safe and comfortable. We'd go back.

unfortunately, we don't know the area, but the hotel is located in a very good spot - this is a great location for NASCAR fans, less than an hour from the Talladega track

“ok hotel, had problems with hot water & room”

We reserved the one queen bed suite that was to have a island kitchen sink & microwave. That is very important to us since we have a 2 yr old. They did not have that type room available but did have a room w/ 2 beds & a refrig & microwave just not the island. This room was less per night & they credited our bill for that amt. But then my husband discovered at 10pm that there was no hot water! So we had to change rooms after our soon was asleep b/c they were not able to fix the water & we were getting up very early the next am to be somewhere. The front desk said they were sending a guy w/ a luggage cart but after 45 min. my husband went down & got it himself & asked for the room keys. Since it was so late at night w/ a little one this was very inconvenient. The second room was ok & had hot water. The hotel did credit our bill for 1 night out of 2 for the inconvenience of changing rooms which was the correct thing to do but was a pleasant surprise. The beds were comfy & the bathroom was nice-clean & spacious.

Traveller's tip
There is a Waffle House, Cracker Barrel, & Jim N Nicks Barbecue(great bbq) very near the hotel & a Wal-Mart.
