Ok location and price. Bus noise. Wouldnt check in b4 last minute. Cave like. Drafty. Poor lights. Poor shower. Curtain too short. Room 32 somehow below rooms with smaller number. Just lots of unnecessary stupidity. No usb. All views obscured by trees.Noisy doors wnd locks.

Beautiful character property directly facing the Roman amphitheatre, with clean and spacious rooms and friendly staff. Quiet and tranquil whilst being right in the centre of Nimes in heart of old city and close to rail and bus stations for easy public transport and sightseeing day trips to surrounding attractions like Uzes or Avignon.

Nîmes reaches day time highs 100•F for a good deal of the summer. I chose this hotel because of its excellent location and because it had air conditioning. The A/C was totally ineffective. The unit was way too small for the size and shape of the room. I didn’t sleep at all the first night and barely made it through the second night. It was unbearable. A/C is poor through much of Southern Europe. I’m not sure why. Perhaps it’s a strategy to keep North Americans away during the peak vacation time for the Europeans.

The location is excellent. However, finding it and also parking downtown Nimes are very difficult. We missed the turn, and then GPS took us on the drive through the mass of the streets that were blocked, and we ended up finding a parking and them walking to the hotel. Once we were there, we realized how conveniently it was located, just in front of the Arena and other landmarks. It also has a small kitchenette (a plus), and witching walking distance from a grocery store and many restaurants. Another important feature for us is the size and number of pillows because in the other hotels pillows were too small and didn’t provide enough support. The Odalys had two nice pillows, so it was very nice.

Good location & clean Value for $ paid.
I had read some negative reviews so I almost booked another newer property 2 blocks closer towards the train station but at a much higher cost(booking the day before..it was cheaper otherwise). I must say, this place fits the needs for 1 nt(or even more). It was clean. There were no supplies. For ex: electric kettle but no coffee packets, sugar, cream but we had our own. The frig freezer never got our ice cubes frozen(?) maybe our fault with the the settings? It is quite basic, but the price was right & we slept well. I would stay again. The WiFi worked great & had an elevator! I would advise to stay with the basic double studio..we got upgraded to the “triple” with the bedroom up on the mezzanine & the single bed on ground floor. & the bathtub in this one does not have a curtain, so it is a “bath” only

A fantastic weekend away!
Nimes is a lovely place to visit and this hotel is in the perfect spot. Clean with friendly staff it was a great place to stay. Our room was nice and large and the beds were super comfy. An absolute gem of a place to use for a home-base while exploring all Nimes has to offer. I have no hesitation in recommending.

Great location and view, but not perfect
To start with the positive, our room had an amazing view of the Roman arena. And the location couldn't have been better, close to the restaurants and the little tourist tram, and also the train station. There were a couple things that would have made it more comfortable. It's an apartment hotel, so it's missing some of the things you would expect from a hotel: a front desk closely monitoring or controlling who is coming and going, automatic closing/locking doors. Also, the hallway lights were turned off on some floors and they seemed deserted, which creeped us out a bit. The breakfast was expensive for what it was, but there was a museum Cafe close by that had breakfast at a reasonable price. The room itself was clean and comfortable, although the bathroom is not updated.

Super location, good staff, service, kitchen in the room. Parking is absent but we could find place in 5 mins and night is free so we spent not more then a couple eurs per day for the parking because we travelled a lot. Strange inside design (minimalism with grayscale colors) in the old beautiful building :).

The location couldn’t be better and the view from the window...WOW! The bathroom however needs a serious revamp, no shower screen or curtain and lots of dirty grouting. Air con unit was very loud so had to turn it off.

Excellent hotel!
Very comfortable hotel in excellent location next to the Nimes Arènes. Very friendly and attentive staff, but the AC needs an update to function well in our new climate-change temperatures! I will definitely stay there again, this was actually my 2nd stay , 3 weeks apart.

Our room had an amazing view looking out on to the Roman amphitheatre, really great size, great staff and location, my only issue was the best didn’t have a head board? The shower didn’t have a curtain? It was beautiful but felt slightly unfinished.

Location is great for a visit to Nimes, across from the arena and the excellent Museum of the Romanities. Staff is very friendly and attentive. Room decor nicely updated. Our only problem at the hotel was difficulty using the shower.

This was one of the worst hotel experiences I’ve ever had. The only plus sides were the location and the spaciousness of the room. The staff were friendly enough and the breakfast was ok. But the conditions of the bathroom alone were substandard. Sterile, ugly, and there’s not even a shower: just a hand held shower head and no shower curtain. The worst part was the noise: my room was right next to the breakfast room and the cavernous staircase. I was woken on the first day from 6:30 by loud talking, laughter, crashing plates, which went on all morning. That evening, I hoped to get a good nights sleep because I was exhausted and upset from the morning: then the party started. Until 3am (!) people coming and going, shouting, screaming, laughing in the corridors, crashing around the room above me, the whole time the staircase acted like an echo chamber, amplifying the noise throughout the hotel. I complained to reception and they did nothing. This went on practically all night, and then the early start again. If I wanted a run down party backpacker hovel, I could have booked one for a fraction of the price. This hotel is totally misrepresented online. And while they are not directly responsible for the solipsistic, imbecilic behavior of the other guests, the fact that they did nothing to control the chaos says everything. I wish I had never booked there, and this place certainly does not deserve it’s asking price.

In a great position in Nimes. Upon check in we were asked to provide a €50 deposit even though we had already paid in full. We were surprised as this had not happened anywhere else on the trip. My fridge did not work and the rooms are starting to show some age but overall was good value for money

Overalls cleanliness wasn’t great, fridge didn’t even work - was hot and smelt terrible! Only one pillow provided each, no other spair ones available so we didn’t sleep comfortably at all. I also wouldn’t recommend the breakfast, bare minimum provided not even English breakfast tea was available.. so little is provided that it runs out quickly and staff aren’t always present to replenish - not worth €10 at all.

What the Odalys Cheval Blanc lacks in character and decoration it more than makes up for in its location next to the Nimes Arena and its five to ten minute walk from the station. The hotel feels like a converted warehouse but the rooms are extremely spacious for the price, the double bed enormous and the showers hot which is great for weary travellers. In addition there is a neighbouring independent restaurant that can be accessed through the hotel and which is our favourite in Nimes. Redolent in memoirs of the Nimes Ferias it has great food.

It is in a very good location. However the bathrooms are quite old, doors to the room still work with old big keys. The hotel has no parking lot of its own and the main parking lot close to the hotel was full, so it took us a long time to find a place to park on the street.

Hotel across from the arena.
The location of the hotel is great. It is right across from the arena and a 10 minute walk from the train station. You can also easily walk to many great restaurants and nightlife. However the hotel room itself, while large and fairly spacious had only moderately effective air conditioning. As well the shower head in our room was broken and was not repaired even though they stated that it would be.

Marvellous location
We had a huge room, the building is very old and the corridors a bit unpleasant but they have really worked hard to make the accommodation lovely.
