“Great food and atmosphere”

As I mentioned above, the variety and quantity of food was fabulous. The hotel has everything, a huge beautiful outdoor pool and a nice heated indoor pool and only a few steps to the sea. Needed taxi to get anywhere, prices were all over the place, airport from 10 Dt to 30DT.

“don't waste your quality money on this hotel..”

Reception staff don't understand, lobby attractive rooms disgusting and dated, no safe> If you call for reception or house keeping you get a answer in a day or two..not there and then. Shower dirty tiles dirty, shower head don't work. useless staff, hotel is not a five star it should be a two or three star. We stayed there 3 nights with the family 2 kids aged 12 and 8, pool packed, you have to pay for towels for your sun louger,. Avoid thsi hotel don't waste your money.

“good for this price”

I am frequent guest in Tunisia and frequent guest in El Mouradi. As a hotel for business trip and for the price which is competitive to hotels in Tunis - Centre - it is ok. (Many in Tunis with the same price or higher are much worse) However do not expect 4 stars quality, and don't be suprise if you have ie. no towels in room for 12 hours ( or when they are used and dirty) . Nobody cares there. Important tip: Internet price - is higher for one day there than prepaid data sim card (valid for 1 month) from Tunisiana or Orange which you can buy at the airport ... And one more thing - in July there are very loud weddings and discos till 3AM ..every day... But generally - not bad. the real 4-5 stars hotels in the neighbourhood, like Regency, are about two times more expensive. The hotels in city centre with 4 stars and similar price are 1 star hostels in european standard..

“quality you can expect for this price”

Hotel needs general cleaning and amenities refreshment (repairing) - dirty and damaged shower, malfunctioning AC, dirty carpets, "fresh" towels with somebody's curling hairs on it etc.. But for this price and with this - very convenient location it is ok to stay there. But don't expect 4 star western quality. It is at last 3 star (or 2+) hotel but well located, with nice swimming pool and formally existed amenities which may work or not. I was in business trip so for me it was ok as bed and breakfast but traveller who comes there for holidays may be disappointed.

“Practical, Cheap, Nice Rooms”

We booked rooms at El Mouradi one day prior to our flight, so we were a bit worried if the reservation was received on time, and it was thank God. Our rooms weren't with a view, but they served their purpose (sleep and breakfast). The entrance is very clean and spacious, the rooms aren't as clean as they should be, but they're good. El Mouradi was five minutes away by taxi from the hotel where the conference was held, and 5-7 minutes away from a great fish restaurant called Le Grand Bleu. It's important to note that the hotel is not in the capital Tunis but in a surrounding neighborhood, known as Gammarth. Gammarth, Sidi Bou Said, La Marsa and Carthage are all very clean and on-the-coast little cities known in Tunisia as the chic neighborhoods where all the Ambassadors' residences and Tunisian upper-class live. Finally, if you want to go to Tunisia for just a couple of days to visit surrounding cities to Tunis and you want a cheap practical place, El Mouradi Gammarth is good choice.

“Everything is nice except hotel location.”

The hotel was nice and big, the staffs are OK. The hotel is isolated from nearby shops and tourist attractions. No public transport. The only transport is taxi cab. Food in the hotel is good specially the breakfast where there are many options to chose. Dinner at the hotel's main restaurant is very good but it will cost you less if you travel to nearby town. So you have to compromise between having food at the hotel or to travel to a nearby city. The country rather safe where you can take a taxi cab late in the night and you arrived safe to your hotel. Entertainment in the hotel was rather limited if you are there ouside the tourist season.

“Will go back”

All in all a good hotel. Comfortable rooms and friendly staff. That said the reception staff could use some training in customer service. My partner and I were questioned as to whether we were married. If this is an issue they should not be advertising in the European/worldwide market. I asked reception on 3 occasions over 2 days for 2 extra pillows. In the end I called housekeeping direct and they were there within minutes! Nice indoor pool and substantial, varied buffet.

“Gammarth”

We spent 4 days at El Mouradi Gammarth with mixed feelings. Hotel is beautiful, especially in a room with a view of the sea. Front desk staff was mostly unresponsive, but bellhop Cherif was amazing. We felt he could manage the front desk better than it was being done. At one point, we called the desk to tell them we had no towels after the room had been cleaned, and were visited by a young lady from the front desk who barged into the bathroom to see if towels were there and we were lying. Soon, Cherif brought the towels and apologized. All in all, our stay was positive, beach was beautiful, and hotel was close to Sidi Bou Said and Carthage. Food was very good on the whole. We would stay there again.

“Bien entretenu”

Hôtel bien entretenu, restauration correct et variée. Par contre, une flopée de libyens argentés y ont élu résidence ou viennent y passer la soirée et ces gens sont bruyants et peu respectueux du personnel (femmes de ménage, méritantes au passage, restaurants etc.) et des installations de l'hôtel. Pour nous, cet hôtel est plutot digne d'un 4 étoiles pour l'ensemble des prestations proposées.
