Very central location to local pubs and shopping

Posted 25-Feb-2015
Pros: Convenience and has parking for guests...a big plus in the city! Also, the room was large and staff was very friendly.
Cons: More parking available to guests. It seems that it may be on a first come/first serve bases. We lucked out though!
Location: Lots of restaurants, pubs and shopping in town. Very clean, walking city.
We only spent one night in Galway and most of it was sleeping. The hotel is very close to the all the action in downtown Galway but just far enough away from most of the noise. We did hear some rowdy college kids outside but we were told that it was a party night and there was much activity all around. It didn't keep us up though. We faced the street so perhaps a rear-facing room may be quieter...again was not a problem for us. The bed was very comfortable and bathroom was clean. Room was big with a non-working fireplace. Very well kept and the breakfast at the hotel was very good.

Well located for Galway city-centre.

Posted 21-Feb-2015
Pros: Central location and car-park.
Cons: Decor just needs refreshing and servicing; so that curtains don't come adrift when pulled.
Location: Galway is a fabulous place for wee shops and restaurants. Also very convenient for Cliffs of Moher and The Burren.
The hotel needs refreshing. Decor a little tired in places. Breakfast was fine; but a little more cheer from the staff would have made a better start to the day. We chose two nights in Galway, and one in Limerick. On reflection, the other way around would have been better.

Pros: Good all round value in centre of town - private car park
Location: Centre of Town & walking distance to Sports Ground [Connaught Rugby]
Pros; Helpful & friendly staff - Easy access to centre of town - private under ground car park- good restaurant - rooms comfortable and good size. Cons; could be a bit noisy on nights with live music in the bar [if you were hoping for an early night]

Pros: The location, the bar and restaurant, the staff.
Cons: S with any older fascilty...room furnishings; however, the reception and lobby area, and the pub and restaurant are first class.
Location: Great restaurants and pubs. Close drive to many attractions.
Best location in Galway. Right in district with best restaurants, pubs, shops. Staff was professional and friendly. Most nights, there is a great traditional Irish music jam session in hotel's bar. Complimentary breakfast was good.

GREAT place to stay!

A DELIGHTFUL surprise of a hotel during our Ireland vacation. The food at the attached hotel was delicious (and we took advantage of the special pricing) the room was spacious and immaculate, the free breakfast was full and varied. All staff were outstanding in their treatment of us; engaged, interested in our satisfaction, delightful to speak to, and funny. We stayed in 7 hotels during our 12 day Ireland visit and this facility was #2 on our list, but rated 9+ by all 3 guests. Keep up the good work. It was well appreciated.

Good value and location

We arrived a little early, and were allowed into our room, which was clean and fresh. The furnishings were a little tired, but fine. The staff was very nice and extremely helpful, offering accurate advice about the area. Parking was available, which was very important in that area. Very convenient location, good price. We would stay there again.
